I want to be honest with you: I am biased in writing these words. And I am, simply because I have been in love with this place for several years. Precisely, since that night 7 years ago now, when I was still a high school student, during a stormy Wednesday night, it was the only place open where I could drink a beer and stay warm with my friends, in the midst of that atmosphere that I can not forget. Since then I have been biased and I couldn't help but tell as many people as possible about it. Even today, after all these years and the many (positive) evolutions of the Bottega dell'Artista, it is the first restaurant I recommend when the question is asked. But what actually is the Artist's Workshop and why shouldn't you wait for an opportunity to bring someone special there, but should go there as soon as possible? Well… This culinary jewel is hidden in a historic village (Castelforte) where the stone alleys tell ancient stories and traditions. It is a place where time seems to stop, where the intimate and enchanting atmosphere creates the perfect setting for unforgettable evenings. And I believe that there is no more ideal place for those who seek to make you fall in love, to amaze, to leave an indelible impression. La Bottega, with its warm and welcoming atmosphere, is an embrace of flavors and traditions. Every detail, from the small mezzanines, from the soft lights to the corners with books, speaks of the care and attention that Beny, the owner, has dedicated to this place. With a hand that blends the past and the present, Beny has created an environment where every meal becomes a work of art. Here, local products are the real protagonists. And this is demonstrated by the fact that those who live here can punctually meet Beny in the local markets, intent on personally choosing each ingredient that will be transformed into dishes that tell of Castelforte and its traditions. This is a cuisine that expertly combines tradition with innovation, where each dish is a surprise for the palate, a memory for the heart. La Bottega is not just a restaurant, it's a journey. It is a return to the roots, an embrace of the earth and its fruits. And what you eat is also part of that atmosphere you breathe. Yes, because it is a place where food is not just nourishment, but an expression of art, passion and history. Not to mention that the careful selection of wines, chosen by Beny, is a journey in itself, a journey through the best local and non-local vineyards... an experience that enriches every meal thanks to the intelligent advice of the owner (he has always taken me ). Today, the Bottega is the culmination of a journey that has gone through different phases: from pub to bistro, until becoming what it is today… A modern tavern with a refined and never banal vision of catering. Despite challenges such as the pandemic, the Bottega has resisted, thanks to its passion and its connection with the land. Furthermore, the Bottega's cuisine is a perfect example of how quality does not necessarily have to be synonymous with expensive. On the contrary. On the contrary... Excellent quality is combined with extremely accessible prices. It is a place where the "slow dinner" becomes a moment to savor, to live the experience to the full, to chat with your family, your friends, your partner... Without haste, as if I were in a bubble and the world out there, the problems, ceased to exist. But I don't want to go on any longer, because too many words wouldn't be useful: you have to try... And I'm telling you: if you really want to amaze the right person, I'll tell you, it will be an unforgettable evening. And you will discover that sometimes a dinner is enough to fall in love again, or to find each other again. Thank you very much Beny for what you do!

a little hidden place, if it weren't for Google we wouldn't have discovered it, however it is a very nice and welcoming rustic bistro-style environment, very kind and approachable owner and the food was spectacular, we will definitely return

We finally found a restaurant/winery/tavern of an absolutely superior level to many other places to eat in the same area. I'm not saying that the food is bad elsewhere, but I'm saying that here you will find local food but above all an excellent welcome in a beautiful location. A couple of tables outside too. Absolutely affordable prices for the quality offered. The owner is a kind, helpful and attentive person to the customer's needs. He knows how to advise you well. I will return and recommend everyone to pay a visit. Thanks 🙂

Bellissima Esperienza, cucina TOP atmosfera rilassante e non adatta a bambini ma a coppie oppure a chi si vuole rilassare è passare una serata romantica … lo consiglio !! CONSIGLIO stona la scelta dei vini data al clienti, dietro il tavolo dove sono seduti i clienti !!

Un bistrot molto carino: cibi tradizionali e rivisitati molto buoni, personale gentilissimo e location carinissima! Sicuramente da consigliare e... da tornarci!

Il locale è piccolo, l'atmosfera è raccolta, elegante (con una gradevole musica di sottofondo), il titolare Beny ci serve direttamente illustrandoci i piatti, spiegandoci che ha cambiato l'impostazione del locale rispetto ad un iniziale proposta molto ricercata; lo stile è rimasto comunque abbastanza gourmet. La carta dei vini è selezionata con cura e si trovano anche vini di alta qualità, tra l'altro tutti esposti con i relativi prezzi, stile enoteca. L'antipasto della casa è un mix di affettati con un formaggio locale, zuppetta di fagioli cannellini, melanzane (a funghetto) e trippa (molto buona). Le tartare di salmone e carne anche sono state gradite. Indimenticabili le polpette su letto di dadolata di verdure. Come primi una "amatriciana" con pancetta croccante e delle squisite linguine ai frutti di mare e lime. Un po'di condimento in più nel primo e più pasta nel secondo sarebbero stati ancora più graditi. Il menù viene cambiato periodicamente. I Dolci fatti in casa (tiramisù e torta al cacao) sono interessanti ma migliorabili (magari una noce di gelato con il secondo). Prezzo ottimo rispetto alla qualità delle pietanze e all'atmosfera piacevolissima, ci siamo sentiti coccolati. Complimenti
