We were welcomed by Gilberto, a very polite and knowledgeable guy.
Excellent raw ingredients with local products.
The burger with fried porcini mushrooms was delicious.
The atmosphere was quiet and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

A top-notch dinner. Starting with the excellent quality traditional food, fresh homemade pasta, and truly delicious main courses. The owner was kind and attentive. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend Bottega di Castagneto!

A timeless place where you wish time would never end: this is La Bottega di Castagneto! Found by chance while wandering the hills between Romagna and Tuscany, it was a real surprise. We had lunch on a veranda framed by grape-laden vines, in a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. The dishes offered are simple, made with local ingredients, cooked and presented with care. The young man who served us was kind and precise, and recommended a perfect wine for our order. We'll definitely be back, but not by chance!

A family lunch on August 15th 2025!! Discovered by chance, this little restaurant at the foot of the Muraglione Pass was truly a wonderful discovery! Both for the attentive service and for the truly excellent and authentic cuisine. The flavors are timeless and authentic, just like our grandmothers and mothers used to prepare! The two dishes that stood out for me were the tagliatelle with white duck ragù and the roast wild boar! Excellent value for money! We'll be back!

We stumbled upon this lovely place with some friends, slightly outside the village of San Godenzo. We came up for a hike and then stopped here for lunch. It was May and it was already hot in Florence, but up here it was very nice!
The experience was overall positive, even if it was different from what we expected.
In other places in the area, when you sit down, you "eat," meaning a portion often feeds two, but here the portion was "small."
Aside from the small portions, the quality was excellent!
I tried a decent first course and a fabulous guinea fowl, homemade, pan-fried with a drizzle of tomato, truly delicious.
I was expecting slightly larger portions, so I'm giving the food an average rating, reflecting the good quality and modest quantity!
Given the beautiful day, we were able to eat on a sort of terrace covered with climbing plants, and it's truly a lovely place to be!
We spent €25 each, ordering an average of one and a half portions each plus drinks, and maybe a few people ordered dessert.... Overall, the price was okay!
Overall, I liked it and will probably give it a second try when I'm in the area!

A Sunday lunch for nine friends and two dogs, all warmly welcomed on the cool, quiet veranda with a pergola. Giampaolo provided attentive and friendly service, offering recommendations for the subsequent hike to the Doccione waterfall. The menu is limited, but everything is delicious and above all authentic. Homemade pasta and excellent ragù are served, and the roast potatoes are delicious in their simplicity. The wine list is good, and the overall price is fair. It's worth the drive; reservations are recommended.
