La Bersagliera In Lucca

They are Calabrians from the province of Cosenza. Places famous for Sila mushrooms which are not lacking among the large mouthfuls in oil. The pizza is huge and very hot, not like the thin ones which are already cold after 2 minutes. The dough has risen for a long time, you can notice it by its lightness. Typical Calabrian ones are the crushed olives, the spicy little fish called sea rose, the use of scamorza instead of mozzarella, aubergines and peppers, the nduja which is the original one from Spilinga. I recommend it warmly, remembering that for a few years they have only been doing takeaway!

A pizza that is a sensory experience. Excellent ingredients from scamorza to nduia with mushrooms in oil. It's a shame you can't eat in the restaurant anymore. And if for decades there was pizza waiting for us even an hour and a half/two there must be a reason 😂
