La Beccaccia In Bagni di lucca

We were on our way to our accommodation and wanted to grab a bite to eat. We didn't want to stop on a main road, so we decided on this pizzeria on the spur of the moment. And it was a great decision. The food was excellent. We had two antipasti (bruschetta and fried porcini mushrooms) and two primi. The porcini mushrooms were amazing, and the bruschetta was also very tasty. It's true, the menu is handwritten. It's kind of quaint. And in a place like this, you can really taste the freshly prepared home-style cooking. The main courses were also great. I had the macceroni with duck ragu. Truly excellent. We received very friendly service and were able to communicate well despite our lack of Italian. I highly recommend this pizzeria. You can't go wrong here.
