L' Angolino di Via Matteotti In Lecce

We went to Angolino on Via Matteotti in Lecce a few nights ago, on the advice of friends who told us, "Oh, if you want a good puccia, go there with your eyes closed." And so we did. The place is small but welcoming, with a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of outdoor tables perfect for enjoying dinner al fresco on summer evenings. The staff is friendly, helpful, and approachable. They make you feel at ease right away, without too much fuss, and that's always a plus. We ordered one of the puccia of the day to take away, the one with octopus, turnip greens, and dried tomatoes—an interesting, bold combination, and I have to say the flavor was there. It was really good, you could taste the quality of the ingredients, authentic, well-prepared, no complaints there. Price? €12. Perhaps a little more than I expected for a takeaway puccia, and honestly, I was expecting a little more in the filling... but that's more a matter of personal expectations than objective flaws. In any case, it's a historic place, a reliable reference for those seeking a classic, well-made puccia leccese, and I understand why the people of Lecce are so fond of it. If you're passing through Lecce and want to try a carefully crafted puccia, this is one of the places to go. Maybe next time we'll come back, sit down at a table and enjoy everything at our leisure.

Welcoming atmosphere and very attentive staff. We had a puccia with horse and a homemade compote. Fragrant pastry, delicious meat. For dessert, there was tiramisu and cheesecake. Overall, full marks for all the effort put in. Thank you.

The authentic Salento puccia, you can choose from the puccia on the menu or make your own with the ingredients you have on hand. The staff are very helpful. All very good.

I had a puccia Specialità with meatballs, which was good but the flavor was a bit too neutral in my opinion. However, it was good, fresh and made on the spot.

Cheap street food alternative to sitting in a restaurant. Still has street seating, hand the food is delicious! Had the chefs special with octopus and wow! We also had a prosciutto arugula sandwich and spicy meatballs and all were fantastic! Highly recommend !

Abbiamo volontariamente cercato questo piccolo locale collocato a 10 minuti circa dalla piazza principale poiché ben segnalato da altri viaggiatori. Non ci ha deluso: innanzitutto il,luogo è piacevole ed ampio(non si direbbe da fuori) poiché ha una capacità ricettiva su due piani; inoltre la puccia è veramente buona: il meglio è ovviamente il ripieno interno che è cucinato in modo familiare e gustoso. Sebbene i gusti siano vari, ciascuno è ben equilibrato. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

Pucce ottime e ingredienti freschi. Ci si può comporre la puccia con gli ingredienti preferiti oppure optare per le pucce della casa. Molto buona.
