Ancient, bold, delicate flavors... you can find it all in this corner of Genzano, pleasantly cool in the summer. Excellent value that won't leave a bad taste in your mouth, except for the one they offer you at the end of the meal. Congratulations.

Small trattoria in the heart of Genzano di Roma. Old-fashioned staff: kind and willing to give advice. We ate outside, under a pergola that looks directly onto the little square. Excellent food (we had 2 gnocchi alla matriciana; 1 ravioli with butter and sage; 1 portion of rabbit) and generous portions. The desserts were also exquisite (1 portion of chocolate cake; 1 of ricotta and sour cherries and a babà). Highly recommended.

Small tavern in the upper part of Genzano. It offers excellent traditional dishes from Lazio and beyond. The lady who served us was friendly. All good, but the ricotta and bitter orange tart was particularly delicious.

A Sunday lunch under a pergola in an unexpected "Angoletto". Hospitality and excellent food, good side dishes and a mouth-watering stew. Attentive service and good Castelli wine🍷. To return!

05/10/2025: A great evening and an excellent menu of various, very interesting pizzas. Well done!! There's a problem with the reservation system and the service... We booked for 8:15 PM with the clear message that we would have to leave at 9:30 PM, and at 9:35 PM they brought us the bill, asking us to leave. The problem... is the service, which wasn't fast enough to allow us to finish by 9:30 PM. We showed up at 8:14 PM, absolutely on time. There were six of us, and we each ordered an appetizer and a pizza. At the end, we asked for an amaro (liquor), and the waitress told us she'd be back because she had to set up the next table. She didn't return, again because she was busy clearing the tables and not serving us, nor amaro, nor coffee, nor asking for dessert. So the very clear advice is: if you want to take reservations with a closing time within 75 minutes... you need to have enough staff and enough time to allow for a dinner consisting of an appetizer, pizza, dessert (if desired), and coffee/liqueur... In any case, we'll be back because the pizzas are very good.

27/08/2025: We dined at this restaurant the day before yesterday, a small group of friends, including an Englishman and a vegetarian. The daily menu is very simple: it offers an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, traditional Roman first courses, and grilled meats. The surprises come in the dishes not on the printed menu, namely the chef's suggestions, which are therefore different every day, according to the seasons and the inspiration of the day. The chef's appetizers are amazing; one portion is enough for two, and the quantities are enough to already be considered a dinner. We had fried pizzelle with ragù (plus a small fried calzone with mozzarella and zucchini flowers for the vegetarian version), filo pastry baskets with ricotta, croquettes and supplì (homemade), breaded and fried spaghetti frittatas, burrata, meatballs, Danish rolls... such a variety of small dishes and foods that I'm surely forgetting something. The first courses were also very good (ravioli with ricotta and saffron, spaghetti with Tagalog olives, stracciatella, and almonds) and the sliced ​​steak. The dessert was a fitting end: the tiramisu was excellent, and the baked bomb with custard was even better. A special mention goes to the two people who looked after us: a husband and wife, she serving, he the chef. I couldn't say which of the two was kinder and more helpful, both attentive and with a huge smile throughout the evening.
