Our evening as a couple at the L'Ancora pizzeria in Gela was simply perfect. The welcoming and peaceful atmosphere immediately put us at ease. In particular, it stands out for the high quality of the ingredients, making it an unmissable stop for lovers of good pizza. Specifically, we chose two pizzas: the Valtellina and the Bufalina, both excellent. Valtellina conquered the palate with the strong flavor of the bresaola, perfectly balanced by the freshness of the buffalo stracciata and the sweetness of the cherry tomatoes. The base, thin and light, made every bite a real delight. La Bufalina, on the other hand, amazed with the extraordinary quality of the burrata, fresh and creamy, which went perfectly with the strong flavor of the speck and pistachio pesto. Both pizzas testify to the passion and care that the staff puts into the preparation of each dish. If you are looking for an authentic culinary experience in Gela, L'Ancora is undoubtedly the right place!

Location fronte mare. Sembra di essere sopra una nave da crociera. Personale preparato e attento. Ottima accoglienza. Piacevolissima serata in compagnia di amici. Cibo di ottima qualità. Prezzo onestissimo per la qualità servita. Abbiamo preso antipasti di pesce 🐟 e primi. Abbiamo detto di fare i complimenti allo chef per l'armonia dei sapori. Consigliatissimo!!!

Pizzeria on the seafront of Gela, the place has a classic, purely maritime style typical of tourist places. The service seemed a little confusing to me because it wasn't clear who we were ordering from, but it was a busy Saturday evening and in any case there were no errors. Starters not very plentiful. Then the pizzas arrived and I must say that they were a pleasant surprise: dough with low edges but very light and soft. quality ingredients and well-made combinations (I recommend the Burrata pizza with pistachio cream and speck). Prices normal. Overall recommended place!

06/10/2024: The dough and leavening are excellent. Cooking is right for me, the cooked pizza remains very soft with the right sign of oven cooking, not too toasted and not too crunchy. Interesting proposals, for every palate, excellent raw materials. Simple environment is fine without too many pretensions. Friendly, family service. In my opinion they have some difficulties with timing especially for takeaway and delivery orders. Maybe they still have to help us or don't want to say no or give excessive deadlines??. We ate on site, timing ok. It's worth the visit. Take the time…
02/09/2024: Dario and Manuela served us excellent preparations, the result of their preparation; the courses, the in-depth analysis, the choice of superior quality flours made the product better than a simple pizza. Furthermore, the view over the sea and the natural saline ventilation make the stay relaxing and rewarding, increasing the pleasure of enjoying pizza in a unique holiday location. Congratulations also for the aperipizza made by Manuela with Gin Tonic style and imagination!

30/08/2024: Abbiamo cenato con due fritture di calamari e contorno di vedure. I calmari non erano unti ma alcuni erano gommosi. Le verdure abbondanti e gustose. Il personale di sala accogliente, attento e gentile. L'acqua servita é esclusivamente quella microfiltrata venduta al prezzo esorbitante di Euro 3 al litro ( quella del rubinetto trattata con osmosi inversa). Non hanno da proporre acqua minerale in bottiglia.
25/08/2024: Siamo stati qua per una cena on relax... tutto ottimo dall'antipasto al secondo, con un buon polpo in crema di patate di zafferano, squisito... ottimo servizio.
