Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the okonomiyaki! The atmosphere was very nice and the service was excellent.

I've been to Japan and I always miss it. Koenji takes you straight to Japan! What a revelation, from the decor, to the fusion of flavors, and the attentive waitresses—10/10! Fried chicken 😍

The kitchen staff were young Japanese guys. The dining area was staffed by friendly Italians who spoke Japanese. We ordered katsudon, beef tataki, and pickles, but the food was amateurish. The katsudon was overly strong, and the meat was discolored and smelly from freezer burn. There wasn't much rice, so it felt like eating just salt and soy sauce. The pickles were a vinegared eggplant and cucumber dish that wasn't really pickled at all. The beef tataki was sliced ​​like the kind used in shabu-shabu, placed on mizuna greens, topped with onions and raw garlic and drizzled with olive oil, but honestly, I couldn't understand why they were selling it. The flavors were completely disjointed and the combination was terrible. Perhaps the owner was absent and just arbitrarily seasoned the food to suit the young kitchen staff. It's likely they don't understand what Japanese cuisine is. If they're going to charge €20 for a dish, they should offer it at a reasonable value, such as by educating customers on portion sizes. The dining area staff were very friendly and polite. I think the food will not suit the tastes of Japanese people, especially those who love Japanese food. As this is one of the few Japanese restaurants in Venice, I hope they will improve the quality.

We didn't find a great selection on the menu. The presentation wasn't always as comprehensive as you'd expect, and the explanations of the ingredients were incomplete. The atmosphere was very small, cramped, and dark. There was no cover charge. The quality of the ingredients, in my opinion, needs to be reconsidered, because the simpler the dishes and the fewer the ingredients, the more you need to choose quality ingredients. The price for two dishes was moderately high.

The food was delicious, the Japanese cuisine was a pleasant surprise. The service was superb.
