Excellent food with a friendly and pleasant owner. We tried the Cod Siracusa and the pasta with sea urchins and were very pleased. Very good wine list. Thoroughly enjoyable experience!

A restaurant with top-quality ingredients and extremely pleasant and professional staff. The owner, knowing it was my and my friend's birthday, surprised us with a ricotta cake (delicious) with candles on top. We loved everything. Highly recommended.

Kantunera was a truly perfect experience! We had a wonderful time from start to finish. I'm celiac and rarely get to choose freely from a menu, but here it was a dream: everything is gluten-free, the dishes are carefully prepared and truly delicious. The owner is incredibly talented, attentive, and helpful, and that really makes the difference. Highly recommended, it deserves all five stars!

Good products, prices perhaps a little high. Gluten-free pasta with squid ink isn't memorable. The gluten-free menu is quite extensive.

13/11/2025: We have followed the recommandation of the guide book once again and it was very nice. We had these delicious typical flat sandwiches. Staff is very friendly. A very good place to go for lunch!
28/10/2025: A lovely spot in Syracuse, in a very friendly local setting. Warm welcome and excellent food. Convenient for families with children. We loved it!

08/10/2025: I stopped by because it was near my accommodation, and it was a busy place with a constant stream of locals. A brioche (delicious!), a croissant filled with apricot jam(?), a croissant filled with light green chocolate (I didn't know what it was, but I just picked it up because it was so sweet, I ended up digging it all up), and a cappuccino for €6.50. I was very satisfied.
07/10/2025: Typical Italian bar with many locals, a few covered tables on the sidewalk, friendly service, excellent cappuccino, and crispy cornetto.
