Letizia and Danilo's restaurant has now become a regular stop on my every visit to the Syracuse area.
The grilled octopus with potatoes is a must.
You absolutely have to try, when the sea permits, the tuna tartare and grilled prawns.

While passing through Syracuse for the day, we wanted to enjoy a good seafood restaurant. We were very pleased to have chosen this restaurant. The cuisine is excellent both for the quality of the products and for the taste of each dish. The bill was a little high but very acceptable for our entire meal (€120 for a cocktail, starter, main course, wine, and dessert for 2 people). I highly recommend it, but remember to book in advance.

Kantunera è di gran lunga il miglior ristorante di Siracusa. In un contesto in cui sono nate decine di realtà gastronomiche mirate a soddisfare esclusivamente il palato mordi e fuggi dei turisti, Kantunera rappresenta un'eccezione. Piatti della tradizione siciliana cucinati in modo impeccabile; un fuori menù sempre diverso con la possibilità di trovare polpi e crostacei appena pescati, preparati da Danilo con un gusto straordinario; un servizio sempre attento ma non invadente, con Letizia a fungere da perfetta padrona di casa. Per chi ha la fortuna di visitare questa meravigliosa città, Kantunera è la classica ciliegina sulla torta. Imperdibile.
