Johaana Park Restaurant In Sorrento

Pillows were like bricks. Shower plumbing is misplaced. Food was adequate and on time for our large group and service was very attentive. Free shuttle service to downtown Sorrento for shopping and promenading. A grand hotel with a glorious past, I imagine

Couldn’t get power to work but we had a balcony with a very nice view. 4th floor is an open area probably used for events with a great view as well. Breakfast had plenty of choices. Dinner with our group was very nice, my wife felt it was the best of the trip so far. She had allergic reaction to something in the room. We saw a dog in the lobby which could be the reason.

We moved to this hotel from another because it was not located close enough to Sorrento. Johanna Park Hotel is not in Sorrento, so if you want to be in the downtown area, be aware of this. That said, they do have a fee van shuttle service to drop guests right near the downtown area. Less than a five minute walk and you are in the heart of downtown Sorrento from the shuttle stop. They have both normal hotel rooms and a villa area that is quite nice and has its own small bathing pool that I enjoyed relaxing in after a long day. We needed two rooms and the hotel gave us a good deal for the second and offered us two new rooms next to the villa area, both of which have terraces facing the Mediterranean. Both rooms and the terraces have beautifully tiled floors. We were very happy with these rooms. Be aware, these rooms do not have tubs but have rainfall showers that I prefer anyway. The staff is very helpful and nice and there is a great complementary breakfast from 7 to 10 every morning. Eggs, bacon, some baked items, toast, Italian bread. Even some fruity tarts that I did not try but heard are good from others. I liked being in this location, up in the hills where there were breezes and the air is clean and fresh. Even in June we didn’t need to use the A/C, we just opened the windows and the door to our terrace and had a nice breeze all night. I would definitely come back to this location.

A very quaint little hotel atop a magnificent hill overlooking Sorrento. A family run business. Rooms have all the basics and our room was spacious with a balcony.
