We can wholeheartedly recommend the Schwalbennest. Great views, excellent homemade food, and a super friendly team of two in the kitchen and service. We'd happily agree with the opinion that they have the best cheese dumplings – a superlative but well-deserved one.

A great place to stop after a long hike. The food is delicious, the spritzers are served cold, and the view is breathtaking. Refreshed, you can then continue on your way. A friendly welcome and service. Absolute charm. The ambiance simply invites you to linger.

Very nice hut, located on a beautiful hiking trail. I only had a drink, but I think €4.50 for a large elderflower spritzer is a bit expensive.

Beautifully situated snack bar with a fantastic view. You can see Naturno and the many apple orchards of the Vinschgau Valley. A place to relax and enjoy. We didn't try the food, just had a drink. However, the menu is very good and tempts you with Tyrolean delicacies that I found hard to resist. 😊 It's simply beautiful here! 🥰 We'll definitely try the food on our next visit.

Highly recommended restaurant. The view is breathtaking, the path up there is strenuous, but those who work hard are rewarded! Super friendly, authentic, and delicious food. We had Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) and bacon dumplings and were delighted.

25/07/2025: Great location, easily accessible by bus 237! The vegetarian selection is relatively good, and the quality is high, from the aperitif to the dessert. Professional service and advice. Great!
24/07/2025: What more can I say? Anyone in Merano has to go here. We visited this restaurant twice in July 2025, and it was fantastic. The ambiance, the view, and the service are all superb. The food, featuring local specialties, is of a high standard. Our children wanted to come back for the fried potatoes alone. They were the best we've ever tasted. The wine list is divine for wine lovers. It's not cheap, of course, but it's absolutely reasonable for what you get.
