Good food in a nice environment, right in front of the Duomo. Excellent Genoese pasta and also the traditional ragù much appreciated.

Well-kept restaurant right in front of the cathedral. We ate 2 first courses off the menu (I had pasta and potatoes revisited with spectacular truffles) and two ragùs for the children, appetizers, dessert and wine, all delicious.
Traditional cuisine but revisited with taste and skill: truly compliments. Well deserved the Michelin recall!
I want to add that we are a Neapolitan family and that I would like to recommend this restaurant because it offers real local cuisine!

Food was good however didn’t match the expectations for a Michelin listed place. I had one of the specials which was a pan fried swordfish, it came on a very questionable brown’ish sauce which tasted ok but looked very off putting. Pasta on the other hand was great. Excellent wines, desserts and service. Rather tight seating, especially if you’re back to back against the wall with other guests. I’m tiny, yet still found it uncomfortable to sit like this at dinner, but I guess it’s a deli not a proper restaurant. Overall the price and experience mismatched, but I’d still recommend going, perhaps for lunch.

In this location you can strongly breathe the Neapolitan spirit with the essence of the undisputed patron saint: San Gennaro.
Small, welcoming... it looks like a food shop but then there are two small rooms furnished with taste and courtesy used as a dining room.
An essential menu proposal that gets straight to the point without too many frills.
I like!
Getting too lost in words often makes the desire disappear and there are times that I too want to get straight to the point, without too many turns.
Off the menu: monkfish meatballs, delicious, with a delicate potato puree and a small forkful of julienned courgettes which, when macerated in lemon, immediately give that sensation of freshness and at the same time, their crunchy part makes everything pleasant on the palate.
With a small fry of crocchè, arancini, mozzarella in carrozza, scagliuzzielli and omelette you return to that true Naples with clear and enveloping flavors as only a good fry can give you.
And as for pasta: pasta and potatoes but with a touch of reinterpretation that is absolutely not presumptuous, on the contrary it gives an extra something to the most classic of classics: with porcini mushrooms and truffle.
Spaghetti alla Nerano for me represents something that has now almost rightfully entered the menus of Neapolitan restaurants and they and the Neranesi themselves are playing it almost like a friendly derby.
They are also good, in addition to the courgette flowers because I fully agree with the school of thought that everything should go on the plate, without any waste.
The wine list is excellent.
We played between Puglia with a classic of classics: Negramaro and Campania, with a Catalanesca from Tenuta Augustea.
We didn't have any sweets because we were full.
Prices: a little high. For the location: in front of the Cathedral of Naples, and for the undisputed quality of the products. But you pay for it and I'm happy to do it when I eat as well as I do in this little place.
Staff: friendly, kind, helpful and welcoming.

Very nice place even if small.
Excellent dishes and excellent quality of raw materials.
Attentive service, both dining room staff and owner.
Fair account, perhaps a tad higher than average.
A piece of advice: given the presence of numerous off-menu items, it would be better to write them in such a way as to allow the customer to choose more easily.

We came back twice…

Cena stupenda! dall’antipasto (frittini, mozzarella con calamaro) ai primi (pasta e patate incredibile!!!!) ai secondi (baccalà e polpette) senza dimenticare i contorni (questa fantastica scarola e i friarielli) tutto semplicemente eccellente. Ah, come dimenticare il dolce, un babà rivisitato con la crema di mela annurca. Consigliato a tutti.
Anche l’ambiente molto accogliente, intimo, ben arredato. Il servizio molto buono, camerieri gentili e simpatici. Se la domenica non fosse stato chiuso, saremmo tornati la sera dopo. Ci è rimasta la voglia di provare tutti i piatti del menu :)

In gita a Napoli in famiglia cerchiamo un buon ristorante!! Ci viene consigliato questo di fronte al Duomo. Arredamento moderno ma di gusto con stampe originali alle pareti! Napoletanità presente ma di gusto e raffinata, caratteristica che si trova anche nei piatti. Primi eccellenti, provati anche quelli tradizionali come le lasagnette e gli ziti al ragù napoletano. Segnalo i tagliolini isola di Arturo, assolutamente divini. Secondi ottimi.
Personale gradevolissimo e simpatico. Ci siamo trovati così bene che siamo tornati direttamente il giorno dopo a provare altri piatti!
