29/06/2025: Why Italian taverns must not close.
We just left this tavern, with the taste of cherry tomatoes still in our mouths and the warmth of a soup made properly with the heart. Mr. Claudio, the owner, made us reflect on this phrase "closing an Italian tavern is like burning a library of cookbooks".
Guys, in fact we are not just losing a place, but an entire heritage of flavors, stories, traditions and humanity.
Taverna are the soul of authentic Italian cuisine. They are not just places where you eat: they are theaters of life, where the scent of the table tells of childhood, where wine is poured like words between friends, where the cuisine is made of expert hands, slow time and real ingredients.
Every tavern holds a part of our identity, passed down by word of mouth, gestures, at the table. Closing them means turning off a light in the collective memory of the country.
Let's defend them, frequent them, tell about them. Because in every dish served there is a piece of Italy that must not be lost.
