Thanks to the entrepreneurial courage and foresight of Erminio Battocchio and his wife Mariuccia, our region can benefit from a true hypermarket, superior to the various international chains that, unfortunately, neither represent the small businesses of the area nor support the local economy. Shopping at Battocchio, thanks to Mariuccia's sensitivity and generosity, is a spiritual experience. Far from the noise of large-scale retail trade, this well-stocked hypermarket offers the warmth of the old-fashioned "casolino," with a vast selection and prices that are not only competitive, but often even lower than the local alternatives that advertise discounts but aren't always actually cheaper... and where the shopping experience is often disheartening, or at the very least, sterile...
