A welcoming place, friendly staff. The pastry department is excellent, I'd say. I had the opportunity to try a vanilla Bavarian cake with berry jelly, which I'd say was truly excellent.

As for the pastries, it's very difficult for me to find any flaws. Everything is always excellent, high-quality, and especially fresh. The service is almost always top-notch, although it's occasionally been poor lately (I won't go into detail, but it's happened several times in the last few days. I don't mean it was an oversight or something like that, because it happens to those who work there and it's normal). Matteo is sorely missed in the dining room; he definitely elevated the service.

L'Insolito is certainly one of the best pastry shops in the province of Cagliari. It's an exceptional café/pastry shop that stands out because the staff is incredibly quick and, what's more, always very kind and professional. I ordered two cakes on two separate days, mostly on very busy days and at the last minute, but they nevertheless accepted the orders without the slightest hesitation. So, a 10 for the pastry shop's availability and a 10 for the staff's professionalism. Needless to say, their pastries are exceptional.
