IMO In Alessandria

Very large restaurant with many tables. Service wasn't the fastest, but that was probably due to it being a Friday night and being crowded. The food was good for an all-you-can-eat establishment, and the menu was well-presented, with adequate explanations and photos. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean. They're also open on holidays.

Until a year ago, I considered it the best. I returned a few weeks ago (life sometimes changes habits) and noticed a decline in the quality of the food. The seaweed in the sushi wasn't crunchy, but limp and made it difficult to chew. I also found the flavors to be more bland, and there were slightly fewer ingredients per dish (much less tobiko in the tobiko gunkan, for example). I'm sorry, but I hope the next time I return, I'll find the quality that brought me back so often in the past.

Dinner, a table of 8. Everything was good. The service was so-so; appetizers arrived with desserts, served 2-3 people at a time, and the others waited up to 15 minutes for a single dish...
