The sandwiches, piadinas, bruschetta, and salads are top-notch, and there's the specialty dish that changes with the seasons. Ilaria and Marcello are always friendly and cheerful.

It's the best bar in Trento! Marcello and Ilaria's friendliness is top notch! If you weren't here, they'd have to invent you!

I just got home after a short walk downtown (I live in Santa Maria, so we walked to San Marco Park and back) with my big Maremma dog, who, I should point out, has bradycardia, so she gets tired often, and we have to make frequent stops, even for short walks. Two bars before them refused me water for the dog (luckily, I'd stopped at fountains), both saying they "didn't have suitable containers and were very sorry," even though I offered to pay. This is disgusting as far as I'm concerned. I tried them, where I'd never been before (I'm not a bargoer). There was a man and a blonde woman. Without batting an eyelid, he grabbed a large glass bowl, filled it with cold water, and brought it outside. He refused to be paid, but they deserve all my thanks and prayers for the kindness they showed, unlike others. It seems like a small thing, a small gesture, but these are the things that make a difference. If I need a coffee or an aperitif, I'll definitely go there.
