My partner and I had the most amazing night drinking superb wines at this charming little enoteca. The manager Enrico is patient, and served not just brilliant wines but also took the time to teach us about their origins. If you are in search of amazing wines, I strongly recommend Il Vinotecario.

A lovely little spot to enjoy a good glass (or bottle) in peace and quiet, with the support of the excellent Enrico. The selection of appetizers is also excellent to accompany (and serve as an aperitif, in my case).

What a great find on our arrival in Trieste, just down the road from our hotel. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable, we told him what sort of wines we liked and he gave us several Italian options each time including local varieties we had not heard of before, all at reasonable prices. All tasted great! The shop/wine bar has a chic relaxed ambience. The complimentary snack was unexpected and freshly made. A newly opened business, they should do very well!

We stopped at Vinoteca for a break. Enrico, the manager and expert winemaker, offers unusual and very interesting wines, paired with delicious cicchetti. I'll definitely be back. Recommended.

Great place to get buzzed before dinner. Good curated selection of local wineries. Sommelier is friendly and wines are $25-30 range for a bottle.

I've been coming to Trieste for many years and have only just discovered this restaurant. But it's truly one of a kind! A wonderful host who puts his heart and soul into explaining and presenting these wonderful wines. You walk into this small restaurant and simply feel at home.
