Questa visita, al Vecchio Mulino, è stato un buon inizio. Locale accogliente e pulito, cortesia e professionalità in sala forse ... un poco troppo severa. Abbiamo mangiato un ottimo spaghetto alle vongole appesantito però da troppi gusci vuoti rispetto alle vongole presenti, un buonissimo piatto di tubetti in brodo di pesce, una frittura di gamberi e calamari con un pugno di alici fritte e, dulcis in fundo, una crostata a limone ottima. Trattoria a gestione familiare con una buona cucina ma con prezzi leggermente alti rispetto alla media del posto. Un plauso al servizio di Maria Grazia, gentile e attenta. L'unico consiglio è di porre attenzione al conto che, per distrazione, riportava uno spaghetto a vongole invece dei tubetti con una differenza di € 6,00 rispetto ai prezzi indicati nel menu. Ottimi antipasti e primi piatti, consigliati lagane e ceci e spaghetti vongole, buoni i secondi sia di carne che di pesce, meno consigliabile la cassata cilentana, ottima la pastiera.

Cozy place with a touch of family atmosphere, the food is quite good and the costs are not too exaggerated. Despite the location on the road it is easy to find parking all around. I recommend it easily.

Today I had lunch at the Vecchio Mulino for the first time and it was an excellent choice from all points of view: kindness, professionalism and high quality of the cuisine. I ate the Genoese mafalde with real pleasure because they were cooked respecting tradition with excellent raw materials; then stewed cod with potatoes, also very good. Price more than fair. Not only will I return but I will also recommend it to my friends

I don't often give 5 stars, but this restaurant fully deserves them. The credit goes to the raw materials which are of the highest quality, chosen by wandering around Lucania, as Giovanni explained to us who cooks them very well in the traditional way. 14 of us came on Sunday, so everyone was able to taste more dishes, exchanging with the other diners. The appetizers, both the cheese and cured meat platters and the vegetables, already make it clear that the products used are delicious and the vegetables cooked well. The bread is produced by them using ancient Lucanian grain flours.
The first courses vary from an exquisite Genoese which adds flavor to unusual and well-cooked mafaldine, white and black chickpeas with thick lagane, as per tradition, passing through tasty tubes of cod broth.
Among the second courses, a tripe rich in flavor stands out in its own way with potatoes, carrots, celery and beans. Among the side dishes, cabbage with potatoes ennobles a simple but very good dish, as do sautéed chicory and broccoli.
At the end there was the apotheosis with the desserts prepared by Giovanni's wife, among which the pastiera deserves a special mention, one of the best I've eaten.
I don't know if there is a rich choice of wines because once we had tasted them, we opted for the more than decent house Aglianico.
They gave us gifts of various liqueurs and coffee. The bill is more than honest.

An atypical restaurant with a different menu that has nothing to do with what you find in the area. Sausages, soups, barbecues, homemade desserts. The food is good
