It's the second time I've eaten at this restaurant. I have no words for both the food and the courtesy and friendliness. Highly recommended.

High quality restaurant throughout and a warm atmosphere, the food is divine. Not recommended but more for those who want to eat fresh fish and original dishes. 5 stars well deserved.

Da Pozzuoli fino ad arrivare ad Anzio.....(solo perché non ho ancora avuto modo di spostarmi oltre) non c'è un ristorante che possa avvicinarsi MINIMAMENTE al Vecchio Monastero. Primi e secondi di eccellente fattura, carpacci di crudi che non trovi da nessun'altra parte . . . diversità, qualità e quantità di antipasti ogni volta che vai . . . per non parlare del rapporto qualità, quantità e prezzo che lo rende UNICO. Chi non l'ha ancora provato non può dire: ho cenato e pagato da dio...

From Pozzuoli up to Anzio.....(only because I haven't had the opportunity to move further yet) there is not a restaurant that can get AT ALL close to the Old Monastery. First and second courses of excellent workmanship, raw carpaccio that you can't find anywhere else. . . diversity, quality and quantity of starters every time you go. . . not to mention the quality, quantity and price ratio that makes it UNIQUE. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet can't say: I had dinner and paid for it... By Francesco di Gesù

24/12/2024: Andati alla vigilia, il luogo è piccolo ma accogliente e il suo essere un posto raccolto contribuisce a renderlo “di passaggio” cosa che personalmente adoro. Il menù offre vari gusti, inutile dire che il pezzo forte è la pizza fritta: eccezionale. Ritorneremo!

17/02/2025: Let's say that everything is almost impeccable, if it weren't for the fact that the aubergines in oil, served as standard in the starter, are old, stale and without any flavour. It is sad to underline this because the criticism is repeated in many previous reviews, therefore, it is natural to ask, why is no action taken? Best regards..
14/01/2025: Returning to old Caserta...an unspeakable emotion...I was born in Mondragone and resides in Rome...and then knowing that even some scenes from my favorite fiction, my brilliant friend has no equal... And this tavern recommended by a driver made us relive those authentic flavors that I had enjoyed in my grandparents' time!! Excellent and this is demonstrated by the numerous public figures who have gone from Venditti to De Sio and many others...
