Excellent food, friendly staff, very elegant venue.

I had the pleasure of dining at Il Vecchio Monastero, and overall the experience was positive. The dishes are all very good, prepared with quality ingredients and featuring unique and thoughtful combinations, such as 'nduja and maruzze, shrimp and truffle, mussels and chili peppers: original combinations that manage to surprise without being overbearing. You can sense a desire to innovate while respecting flavor. The service is friendly, attentive, and helpful, making guests feel at ease. One note regarding the layout: the restaurant is located in a modern building, so it has nothing to do with the feel of an old monastery. The dining room could also use some updating, as the current table layout creates an unpleasant and less intimate atmosphere than one would expect. Overall, however, it remains a restaurant I recommend for the quality of its cuisine and the courtesy of its staff.

Antico Monastero, in Teverola Today was my first time at Bruno's Antico Monastero in Teverola, the true Santa Santorum of Italian dining. A place where tradition since 1911 meets home-grown innovation, led by Bruno and a family that works like an orchestra in the kitchen: father and son, brothers and grandchildren, all united by the same passion. A spectacle of dishes, a harmony of flavors that speaks for itself. Two Frattasi wines, Falanghina di Bonea and Donna Fugata, perfectly complemented the appetizer and prosciutto. Speechless...! The photos speak for themselves. Five of us were friends, enjoying a snack on a gourmet journey that gave us a day to remember. The goodness here is a heritage. Almost UNESCO... I'll start by saying I tried the set menu; the dishes were decent. The staff was a bit pushy. The place was well-decorated and had a good wine selection.

My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant on Sunday for our first wedding anniversary. Everything was delicious, the fish was very fresh and high-quality. There wasn't a menu, but the waiter explained all the courses to us. We had a mixed starter and two different first courses: gnocchi with monkfish and tagliolini with truffle and shrimp tartar. The tagliolini beat the gnocchi by a mile; they were so flavorful I would have happily eaten another dish. Since we were too full, we skipped the main course; we only had dessert. I had a delicious black cherry brittle, and my husband had a Rocher-flavored semifreddo, which was also very good. We'll definitely be back. Perhaps the only thing I'd change is the lighting in the restaurant; I don't know, it seemed too dim, and the heating made it a bit chilly. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I always recommend booking because the restaurant is always packed.

What can I say? It was a truly pleasant surprise. I went for dinner with friends and it was an impeccable evening, from the welcome to the service, and last but not least, the dishes, expertly prepared by the excellent chef Rico using top-quality ingredients. The service was prompt and the staff were very kind, but allow me to extend a special shout-out to Michele. A wonderful experience, and one I'll definitely repeat.

I was in this restaurant for the first time. I ate and drank well. The only flaw for me is the lack of coffee. The atmosphere is nice but in my opinion I would change the arrangement of the tables.... With the exception of a small internal room, everyone is lined up, it feels like being at a village festival and I don't like eating leaning against the wall. The price is right and I will probably return. Avoid smoking inside the restaurant even if the owner smokes.
