Once upon a time there was a family-run trattoria, a simple menu but with the flavors of the past... now there is so much, so much to do to become like that!

Excellent trattoria restaurant just steps from Castel di Tora. Tasty and generous dishes, under the attentive, friendly, and welcoming new management. Courteous and knowledgeable service. Seasonal menu, with well-seasoned first courses made with fresh, local ingredients. Meat-based second courses are equally good. Prices may be a little higher, but the quality is excellent.

A pleasant discovery. We had lunch this Sunday with a couple of friends and had a wonderful time. The friendliness of the staff, the terrace overlooking the lake, and the deliciousness of the dishes absolutely deserve five stars. An unforgettable coratella ❤️

You can dine outside with a direct view of Lake Turano. As soon as I walked in, I immediately smelled delicious aromas coming from the kitchen, which is quite unusual. The wait staff is attentive, friendly, and fast. Prices are reasonable, and the ingredients are of high quality. This is the perfect place if you want to enjoy traditional home-cooked dishes on a relaxing terrace. The only downside is that the menu lists the meat as "roasted meat," when in reality it seems more like it's oven-roasted, but it's still delicious. I recommend those who don't eat spicy food to ask in advance if it's included in their dishes.

I had an amazing experience at Trattoria Il Tasso near Castel di Tora. The food tastes homemade and truly regional – I tried the Strigliozzi ai Funghi Porcini, a rustic local pasta dish, and it was simply outstanding. My companion had the Cannelloni ripieni di Ricotta e Spinaci with béchamel and ragù, which was also spectacular rich, comforting, and full of authentic flavor. What made the experience even more memorable was the warm hospitality: the chef, who speaks perfect Spanish after living in Mexico, was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our waitress, his sister, was very attentive, friendly, and charming, making the service impeccable. This is not just a restaurant it feels like being welcomed into someone’s home, with genuine food and heartfelt service. A true gem of the region, highly recommended!
