One of the best in all of Santa

I ate an excellent and very tender Florentine steak. The owner and the staff are very kind. I highly recommend it.

The lady owner is a force of nature, sharp, generous, and utterly in charge. With no tables free, she pulled one from the back, dressed it on the spot, and welcomed us like old friends. That kind of spirit sets the tone. The food was excellent: bold, honest, and clearly made with care. No shortcuts, just real cooking. One of the best meals we had in Italy. Though our Italian was limited, the staff were gracious and patient. It felt less like dining out, more like being invited into someone’s home. The place was full, the mood joyful, and the energy unmistakably local. A restaurant that runs on heart, not hype.

If you find yourself near Santa Margherita, going to Franco's for meat is more than a given... it's a must. Delicious appetizers and truly remarkable quality meat. A good wine list, including a few "missiles" if you like strong reds.

Highly recommended for the excellent meat that melts in your mouth, even the first courses are very good.

Having booked very little in advance, they placed us on the outdoor terrace, which is still nice, despite facing the street. The homemade bread and focaccia that accompanied both our starter and the sauce for the first courses were excellent. We took the mixed starter to share (meatballs with sauce, pea and melted pecorino pie, magatello and caponata), very good with a special mention for the meatballs and magatello (really excellent). First we had the borage ravioli with cabannina ragù, which were also excellent.
