Wonderful location, mountains just a few minutes from the sea...and then the food is excellent, I highly recommend trying the sheep meatballs and fried tripe.

I'm a nature and hiking guide, and in early September I took a group to dinner at Pornito. The lady who runs it is incredibly kind, and she's kind of the soul of the refuge. The food, value for money, is fantastic! Superb first courses and excellent meat! All with a beautiful view of Formia and Gaeta. We can't wait to return to share some experiences with them. Hugs. First of all, the view is one of the best I have ever seen in my life. Second, I had a steak that was A KILOGRAM, and I finished it, no problem, that's how delicious it was. The staff was incredibly friendly, and fluent in english. I cannot recommend this enough. Would give six stars if I could.

The refuge's owners are extremely friendly, and its location is excellent, accessible by car via a scenic road. There's a lovely, free space for tents on a terrace adjacent to the refuge, overlooking the sea. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, you can get there by car if you like. Then from there you can walk to the Redentore. About three hours. You can eat.

30/01/2026: Yesterday I wanted to have dinner at a restaurant near Sonnino, but it was closed, so my husband and I drove up to the village and stopped at this place. It was the last Thursday in January, so it's normal for there to be no customers, but they treated us well, and the dishes on the menu are typical of the area. The appetizer wasn't bad, with a certain homemade quality, the veal steak was good, and the sautéed mixed chicory was delicious. I had an unpleasant episode of sudden low blood pressure, and the lady at the restaurant intervened immediately, making me feel at ease and reassuring me until I recovered, truly kind. The only thing, in my opinion, is that it's a bit expensive. But as we all know, everything increases.
28/10/2025: It's nice to arrive in an unfamiliar place and feel at home. Warm welcome, friendliness, and professionalism. A place that evokes the past, the family... Excellent selection of ingredients, delicious dishes for the eyes and the palate... Highly recommended. Thanks, Ignazio

Sugo. Tre pelati e mozzarella.

28/01/2026: We had a really good time. We were welcomed into a relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Tables were spaced apart, which isn't a given. Good food. Excellent meats. If I really had to find a flaw... the beer selection was poor. Otherwise... well done.
28/01/2026: Excellent place, welcoming and with relaxing music. The food is truly delicious. Quality ingredients, excellent, well-aged meat, well-made desserts, as is the rest of the food! The owner, Umberto, is very welcoming and walks around the tables throughout the evening chatting with customers. The staff is friendly and professional, and the waitress is friendly and knowledgeable in explaining the dishes. Highly recommended!
