Very good service and attention from the lady

A quiet dinner in Rio nell'Elba. The girl who served us was very nice and kind. It's a shame that many dishes on the menu were missing (most were sold out). What we did eat, however, was very good.

We took the pizza to take away, the service was quick and friendly, the pizza was a little smaller than usual but good.

After we had already left somewhere else, we ended up at this restaurant. We wanted to sit inside because the restaurant next door had live music. There was nothing else to do at this restaurant. We were literally the only customers. Strange. We were given a self-written menu, from which it was not really clear what was available. We are not fish lovers and wondered if we could also order a pasta with ragu. That was possible. The waitresses were friendly and helpful, but did not come across as very professional. For example, we had the idea that they themselves did not know exactly what was on the menu. The pasta was okay, otherwise nothing special. We could have cooked it ourselves. Afterwards, we were not asked whether we had enjoyed the food. We were also served bread, but this was old bread. That does not taste as good. Too bad. All in all, certainly not the best experience in an Italian restaurant.

Three nights out of five we had dinner at Franca. Very good fish, fast and precise service. Franca is helpful and friendly, Sindal and Caterina precise and very kind. At the Rifugio you don't just eat food but you enjoy an authentic atmosphere.

Happened by chance, I was lucky enough to find a good restaurant open for lunch. Quality, courtesy and really good food. More than fair price. Must try.
