Review: Il Richiastro, Viterbo Introduction Driven by the numerous positive reviews, we decided to try Il Richiastro, but unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations. Not surprisingly, it turned out to be an extremely average choice, overrated in our opinion. Personal The staff, young but efficient, were kind and helpful, helping to maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Location The location is characteristic, with a fireplace and a rustic interior that give a touch of warmth and authenticity. Dishes • First courses: The soup tasting was anonymous, with the exception of the chestnut and chickpea soup, which showed its own identity and stood out from the others. The fettuccine with white ragù of sausage and chicken livers was the only dish worth remembering: a balanced flavour, difficult to make mistakes but still well executed. • Seconds: The pork with plums with red wine reduction was a disappointment: it failed to convey anything significant. The beetroot and potato puree was passable, with no particular notable notes. I count The price does not justify the experience offered. While not insufficient, the overall level of the restaurant is not such as to make one want to return specifically from Rome. Conclusion Il Richiastro is not a choice we would recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Between dishes without particular emotions and a bill that is not proportionate to the quality, the general impression is of an extremely average place, which does not reflect the enthusiasm of the reviews.

Intimate and intimate atmosphere, a wise proposal of local recipes with excellent raw materials. We really appreciated the presence of vegetarian and vegan alternatives on the menu, which were particular and tasty. The wait staff was courteous and professional, we will definitely be back

My partner had discovered this place during a motorbike meeting and was keen to take me there... Delightful location with that garden where you can feel comfortable. Excellent dishes! I ate a fabulous orange chicken... and dessert too. I complimented the cook...The staff were all very kind and helpful. It's definitely worth returning if you're in those parts.

We had lunch on Easter Sunday, an already established menu which confirmed our expectations. The place is small but characteristic, both the interior and exterior are well-kept, showing the attention and care of the staff. Although most of the potatoes were served in central plates, after an initial moment of perplexity regarding the portions, we had to change our minds as the central plates were more than abundant and allowed us not only to taste both first and second courses offered but also an encore. Excellent value for money! Highly recommended!

Ristorante accogliente, cibo più che ottimo , proprietari professionali e gentili. Il giardino fuori è adatto a chi ama posti all aperto e molto semplici. Lo consigliamo vivamente! Vincono la semplicità dell ambiente e la qualità del servizio e del cibo!!!
