We went to this restaurant because we were in the area on vacation and were looking for a place with typical Tuscan food. We ordered a platter of typical cured meats and cheeses as an appetizer and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. It is served with an amazing Chianti reduction and pappa al pomodoro. The only flaw was perhaps the cheese, they talk about "semi-mature cheeses" but in fact there was only one type. Afterwards we ordered a 1kg Florentine steak of Italian veal and the owner immediately tried to convince us that it is usually made from 1.2-1.3kg. She accompanied us to the fridge with the various types of meat trying to convince us and I have to say that it was rather "invasive" even if I tried not to see malice in it and agreed to make it a few grams more. The problem (which also made me angry) is that at the time of the presentation they brought us a 1.4kg Florentine steak telling us that "now it's the bone that rules". So obviously I complained and they managed to bring us a 1.1kg Italian veal Florentine steak that was VERY GOOD and I recommend it to everyone. (And I advise everyone not to be influenced because a good butcher can cut it just right). However, I would like to remind the owner that “tourist” does not mean “naive” and that the excuse of the bone that commands is now rather obsolete. True, in the end I would have eaten a few more grams, but we are not at the market and if a customer wants 1kg maybe they accept a few more grams, but not 400. I just remember that these games are not really nice and that you can never know who you have in front of you. Too bad otherwise they would have been 5 stars because the quality is truly excellent.

We stopped here after returning from vacation, following the many positive reviews... and we did well! Excellent food, especially the meat. Friendly staff and excellent service, we'll be back!

Having ended up here by chance on our way to VR in Arezzo, we discovered that the owner comes from the Verona area. And it's immediate sympathy. Nice family-run place, traditional and rustic. Excellent starter of cold cuts and cheeses for 2 for €18. Then pici with lamb and pici with duck at €13 each: excellent. Sparkling water, unlimited bread and free coffee. Total €51 for 2 for excellent Tuscan food in a welcoming environment. 5 stars deserved
