24/03/2025: Gorgeous place, great food, very friendly staff. In 4 days of Piacenza, it was the only place where the food was good and the staff were courteous, all in a beautiful environment. It is the only place that, of those visited in 4 days, I will visit again
23/03/2025: The manager of the tavern was very kind and, despite having called at the last minute on a Sunday for lunch, he was able to find a time slot so that we could have a table for four people. It is rare that we meet each other in this way, with great sympathy and kindness. Even the interiors of the room transmit the same type of heat. The service was extremely fast, and the staff very attentive at the various tables. The cured meats were seasoned, while I found the gnocco too soaked in oil, despite remaining delicious. The first courses were also average: the tortelli with tail without infamy or praise, quite generic; while the potato, hazelnut and spinach gnocchi, despite being theoretically an innovative and potentially excellent dish, I found them to be quite forgettable. Something was missing to reinforce its taste and contrast. The tagliatelle with ragù are excellent, as are the slices of fresh bread included in the cover. The tart with pear and ricotta wasn't bad at all either, but this wasn't enough to take an experience that falls within the standard of the area to the next level. In short, if you want to eat in Piacenza in an unforgettable way, it is not among the first places I would recommend.
