Il Pesce pazzo In Varazze

“THE MENU IS DECIDED BY THE SEA BASED ON THE FISH”. this is what is written at the entrance to this lovely restaurant in the tourist port of Varazze. We had lunch here today: in addition to the menu items, which are the same for everyone, there are also off-menu dishes, including the Mediterranean lobster, cooked in an excellent manner. A note of merit for the starter and the excellent Pigato wine. The staff were polite and friendly.

Bravi! Veramente tutto ottimo. La qualità del pesce appena pescato, indiscutibile, cucinato con un attenzione da chef stellato ma con l’attenzione al gusto casalingo. Complimenti a tutto lo staff.

We spent dinner on December 31st in this place already known to us on other occasions and like all the other times we ate divinely, the fish always excellent and very fresh, the friendly waiters and the friendly owner, thanks for the splendid evening

We stopped on December 24th for a quick lunch and to charge the car at the Supercharger. A very pleasant surprise, two of us had tagliolini with gurnard sauce with scampi and cicadas, and a slice of amberjack. Everything excellent and well presented! We didn't take wine but only 20 euros per person. Compliments!

The restaurant is easily accessible and is located right in the pleasant and well-kept marina of Varazze. In the warmer periods there is a characteristic "floating" table area available to customers. Other external tables and a veranda area if necessary are placed in front of the restaurant. The place appears quite nice and clean. We had lunch here on a beautiful midweek day and were welcomed into a quiet and uncrowded environment by a sunny and kind waitress who immediately made us feel at ease. The fixed menu is verbally displayed by the staff from day to day based on the catch plus some other dishes. The wine list is available with QR-code. We tried the trofie with St. Peter's fish sauce, squid and cicadas, very good, accompanied by vegetable bread and then the mixed grill (min. for 2 people) very varied and pleasantly plentiful. Homemade dessert: coffee cake with panna cotta. We spent 74 euros (6 euros cover charge for 2 people, 15 euros for 1 first course, 45 euros for the barbecue, 3 euros for 1 bottle of water, 5 euros for 1 dessert), a price which in our opinion is adequate based on quality/quantity/price and service. Satisfied.

They forgot about us and served us after 1 hour

We had dinner in this lovely restaurant at the port of Varazze with the children and our dog. The location is easily accessible and is located in front of berths, also having a barge area on the water in the summer period. Seating on the veranda, or indoors. The well-run restaurant is welcoming and offers exclusively a fish menu. There is a fixed menu proposed by the house with fresh fish, or mixed fish grill or some restaurant proposals. For children they offer a first course with pesto or a fish burger with chips. The choice of wines is not very wide but well researched. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and kind. Reservation recommended. The menu we chose included fried prawns and anchovies, pasta with amberjack and crab, swordfish with carrot cream. All very good. Recommended place both if you are moored at the port and if you are in the centre.

Sublime quality fish, fresh, divinely cooked. Very varied menu formulas and, in relation to the quality, at a very low price. Young and nice staff! Enchanting and romantic location.

There are no words for the goodness of the food and the delicacy. The owner together with the guys who work there are wonderful and polite. Really❤️ go and eat there..The menu And the catch of the day woww very fresh
