There was something about this place that attracted me, perhaps its authenticity compared to others. I was with my wife and our son, who lives and works here during the summer. We were greeted by a very friendly islander, whose warmth made us feel immediately at ease, as if we were at home.
We didn't have a huge appetite, so we decided to just order some first courses. I opted for spaghetti alla chitarra with octopus, my wife chose penne all'arrabbiata, and my son had the classic tortellini with meat sauce. While we waited, the friendly gentleman who welcomed us kept us company, bringing us delicious bread. In less than fifteen minutes, the dishes were already on our table.
My spaghetti was a real surprise. I expected a meat sauce, but instead I found pieces of octopus in a sauce fragrant with fresh cherry tomatoes. A simple but extremely tasty dish, which I happily polished off, mopping up the sauce with the legendary "scarpetta" (bread). My wife's penne had just the right touch of chili pepper, while my son's tortellini were generous and rich in ragù, so much so that they also required a generous mopping up of the sauce.
With a glass of white wine, water, and coffee, the bill came to between €50 and €60. A more than reasonable price, given that the first courses were so generous (the octopus pieces were worthy of a second course) that they filled us completely. The setting is rustic and welcoming, with the open kitchen creating a convivial atmosphere. Our host's hospitality was the icing on the cake. If I have the chance to return, this place will be my first choice.

Quiet restaurant, excellent quality and service.
We had a four-course dinner featuring fish starters.
The portions were just right, and the price was more than reasonable.

Honestly, the best restaurant. It takes a little longer than expected, but the food is worth it. The waiters like to play around a bit while they work (and I don't blame them, a little humor is needed in the world). It's a perfect restaurant after all.

After reading some reviews, we decided to book for a midweek dinner the second week of July. We arrived and found a very quiet and informal outdoor setting.
We didn't get off to a good start because my daughters chose the seafood risotto, but they told us they couldn't make it for us. So we opted for pasta: spaghetti with clams, spaghetti with seafood, and homemade scialatelli with seafood. What can I say: delicious! It's been a long time since we've eaten so well; generous dishes with fresh fish and really well cooked. Congratulations!

Pleasant discovery in Portoferraio in the main square, even though I have already been to Elba many times. Welcoming place with few seats (it is advisable to book) and good quality fish. There were two of us (a German lady and myself, very tired after a day of scorching sun) with a crazy desire for a nice plate of seafood pasta: so we opted for a scoglio and a pasta with octopus. The gentleman at the tables, Marco, very kind and easy-going, suggested that we replace spaghetti and linguine with a homemade scialatiello (worth it, the dish costs €3 more but it is a homemade product and that is fine). Abundant tasty portion and cooked very well by Mrs. Anna. We will definitely return to try the tuna, which apparently is the house specialty! Thanks for the welcome and for the limoncello (or rather "meloncino" offered)!

Il ristorante a Portoferraio dove amiamo venire ogni volta che arriviamo… Pesce freschissimo, cucina deliziosa e verace, un tripudio di tradizione, expertise, e sapori unici! La pasta fresca fatta sempre da Anna è un MUST! I frutti di mare sono un delizia!!!
L’accoglienza di Salvatore e della sua squadra (grazie Marco!) sono la ciliegina sulla torta di un posto UNICO! Provare per credere… Ne rimarrete incantati…
Domani partiamo e non vediamo l’ora di tornare!
