I tried this restaurant today for lunch on the recommendation of a lady from the area. Everything is truly excellent and special starting from the starters. We ordered 2 cuts of excellent quality meat, cooked to perfection as we asked. Very rich wine list, with prices for everyone and very honest and lower mark-ups compared to other restaurants. Super organized staff and owner attentive to every detail. Well-kept environment. At the end, sweets and limoncello were kindly offered. I will come back for sure. Compliments!

Excellent and I would say particular dishes, not the usual menu. We had the house appetizer, a first course ending with excellent biscuits, made by them. We didn't go for meat, because the first courses were plentiful. The parking is large and free of charge. The place is very welcoming and the waiters are polite and always discreet and smiling. A truly pleasant environment! I think we will return, perhaps to taste the pizza

Very good pasta, large portions. The service was very nice, although they didn't speak English. Cozy restaurant, nice, friendly place for a family dinner, pizza and beef, very good, first class quality, fresh, tasty, I recommend it to anyone who will be in the area

Il locale è piacevolissimo, curato e rilassante. Fritti romani, pizza romana, pinsa e dolci davvero buoni. Credo che la specialità principale sia la carne (appena si entra, si nota un frigo con meravigliosi tagli di manzo). Ho visto antipasti e primi di ottimo aspetto. Il personale è simpatico, gentile e solerte. Da non perdere. Bravi!

On the recommendation of a friend I tried the location. Summing up the evening, in my opinion I can give full marks, but with a small note of observation... some dishes appear to have figures slightly above the norm. Nice and clean place, with adequate car parking which, once exhausted, makes it difficult to park nearby as it is located on a state road where it is not allowed. Very large table with good seating, I found a tablecloth and cloth napkin, kind and attentive service, good and tasty dishes (wood-fired pizza, well-leavened and not burnt!!!; good and well-coloured fried foods; home-made dishes good in smell and taste; various varieties of grilled meat with attentive customer service first with the demonstration and weighing and then with the cutting and serving.... everything close to the customer). I can only say that it will be a place where I will definitely return...

20/08/2024: Loved, loved this small and chic restaurant. Close to the apartment I rented for the week and the Colosseum in the lovely Monti neighbourhood. The staff were fantastic and patient with my 14 year old son. Food was delicious and the wine selection suited this snob…me. Couldn’t recommend it more if you’re visiting or passing through.

23/07/2024: Our AirBnb host recommended this restaurant and we were so glad he did. We were sort of lamenting over how we didn’t have an absolutely stand out meal in Rome, but a visit to Le Vele changed that! We started with a bottle of lovely white wine (a frascati from Lazio) and the tris tartare - tuna, salmon and sea bass delicately marinated and served on a very thin cracker. The fish was so fresh and delicious. For dinner, my husband and son shared the cod baked in salt with potatoes, my older son had calamari fritti, and I had pasta with shrimp and zucchini flowers sauce. We were all very happy with our meals. The waiter brought fresh, hot (a first for us in Rome) bread which was addictive! The fish was presented to my husband and then brought back to be filleted and deboned. My son ate almost all of it and he’s not one to finish a meal. I practically licked the plate of my pasta, it was so good. We ended up having crème brûlée, tiramisu, and the chocolate torta for dinner and all were good, but the chocolate torte was served in a beautifully decorated pool of rich custard sauce. The service was prompt and the staff polite. If we ever come back to Rome, I would come back!
