We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. Everything was excellent. The staff were so friendly, you felt pampered, and the food was divine for a reasonable price.

Top-notch meat, cooked to perfection. Good side dishes. Excellent focaccia with hand-cut ham. Friendly and helpful staff. A little too noisy for my taste, so much so that I couldn't hear my friend at the table, but otherwise, everything was fantastic.

The restaurant is located on Via dei Laghi, with a small but well-organized parking lot. I attended a dinner with the pizza menu. The appetizer was delicious, with bruschetta and a platter of cold cuts, cheeses, and battered vegetables. The pizza was consistently good, with a thin Roman crust. The waiters were polite and attentive.

You choose, ask for advice, and you'll get all the answers you need. Qualified staff, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, top-notch first courses and pizzas. Wide selection of cheeses. Near Grottaferrata but beneath the slopes of the splendid Rocca di Papa is the Il Papillon restaurant and pizzeria, which for years has been offering traditional cuisine with a contemporary twist. Renovated in its location and decor—rustic yet elegant—the restaurant welcomed us into a wonderful country farmhouse. It almost feels like the dining room of your own home, with tastefully arranged and chosen tables and chairs, as well as the table linens and the "mise en place" that I photographed because it was truly refined: from the fast and punctual service to the food... from the pizza to the grilled dishes, everything was perfect, but I'm not just saying this; I don't know the owner, so I'm speaking honestly, considering we happened upon a Friday evening and without a reservation! The quality-price ratio is excellent, the meat is top-quality, selected and portioned in front of the customer, including rare Kobe and Wagyu. The pizza is exceptional, with three doughs to choose from, classic whole wheat and thick, all top-quality ingredients and very generous... I recommend trying it, I'll definitely be back enthusiastically... I must say, a surprise in the Castelli Romani area. A strong point, in addition to both indoor and outdoor space, is also ample parking.

Pranzo di Pasqua. Cibo molto buono, dall'antipasto al dolce, con porzioni non troppo abbondanti, in particolare la tagliata (che ho ordinato io), che ho trovato piuttosto scarsa e (sfortuna mia) un taglio di carne con troppi "nervi" quindi non ho potuto mangiarla tutta. Prezzi forse un po' più alti della media. Servizio cortese, attento e veloce.

Tutto eccezionale, dai prodotti di altissima qualità al personale estremamente preparato e gentile, ci hanno coccolato durante tutta la cena sia a livello umano che culinario. Probabilmente ci troviamo al cospetto del Ristorante ai Castelli Romani con il miglior rapporto qualità prezzo. Il pezzo forte è la scelta delle carni frollate, la nostra Wagyu è stata la migliore bistecca mangiata in 44 anni di vita. Il locale è accogliente e molto bello. Lo stra consiglio.
