25/05/2025: For what they’re charging, I would expect the condition of the rooms to be a bit higher than what we experienced. We stayed on the fifth floor, with a small balcony looking over the bay of Naples. The room size was fine, and the view fantastic, but the couch fabric was frayed, and there was significant corrosion on the metal on the bathtub fixtures, and the makeup lamp light was burned out and pulling away from the wall. They supplied us with some good quality instant coffee in the room, with ceramic cups, but there were no glasses supplied (only paper cups).
We needed a new lightbulb in the desk lamp and the bathroom mirror, and a second blanket, which was apparently a standard (the front desk told me to check in the closet for the second blanket), but was missing from our room. We had to call three times to get the blanket and never got the lightbulb until the next day when we stopped at the front desk.
To be fair, once we asked in person for the replacement bulb, they did send someone up immediately but were not able to replace the light in the makeup mirror or fasten it more securely into the wall. They gave us the option to switch rooms, which we declined.
The service staff was very polite and tried to be helpful, but they were quite busy. There was no front door person, and no assistance readily available for help with luggage.
Breakfast was in a beautiful sunny space, and there was a good selection of options for just about every appetite.
If I were to rate this hotel on a star system, they’d earn about a 3.5 star rating.
21/05/2025: Great location. Friendly staff. Pleasant room was functional, good size and a lovely view over the water of the castle and capri. Comfortable bed. Would use again. Entrance is not pram or wheelchair friendly especially when they have the normal doors closed and only the revolving one is available. Pool is closed outside of summer which includes all of May. The breakfast is typically Italian (Italians don’t do breakfast), but is acceptable enough to get your day going and included in the price it was still welcome.
