Passing through Calabria... we looked for a convenient place reachable from the motorway exit for lunch... we opt for Battipaglia... a place with a counter that would be the envy of the best starred restaurants... a plethora of cured meats, cheeses, of which SIGNORA BUFFALO MOZZARELLA, hot and cold dishes including aubergine parmigiana, lasagna, rice salad, everything and more... excellent quality and a sandwich with smoked buffalo mozzarella and porchetta that is truly, truly top-class! So much so that on the way back we still decided to stop even though it was 5pm... because it's really worth it!!!
