Very good restaurant, I recommend it 100%, the zafferano risotto was wonderful, as well as the pappardelle with the cinghiale, very attentive and fast staff, we ate satisfactorily

At Pallaio you can eat well. The cuisine is Tuscan, with clear flavors and well-executed cooking. Simple but satisfying dishes. The pizza was really good, with imagination and quality in the ingredients. The dessert to try is tiramisu, large quantity, perhaps exaggerated density but it's beautiful at the first bite. Young, informal, attentive and quick service. Well done. Perhaps too informal an environment, good for dinner with friends.

Very nice place with typical and non-trivial recipes. Super friendly service even though they were really packed on a Saturday. Unfortunately yes a little slower to be able to order but as I said before due to the restaurant being full. Delicious recipes!

Historic place in Florence, I have been frequenting it for twenty years now. I returned recently and the review is related to the latest experience. Good food, welcoming place. Unfortunately we came across an unlucky Saturday, we waited almost an hour to get the pizzas. Other courses in acceptable times. Friendly staff. Parking very difficult as always. High prices just above the average of similar places in the area.

Super cozy and spacious. On the menu, pizzas, Tuscan dishes and many specials. The coconuts are divine as an appetizer, generous portion and not excessively greasy. The desserts are also excellent! We will definitely be back!

Overall good and a positive experience, however on the pizzas I would also introduce doughs other than the classic one, appetizers in somewhat small portions, prices not exactly cheap.

Mai stata qui prima d’ora. È capitato per caso di organizzare il pranzo il primo dell’anno ed esco da lì senza parole… personale cordialissimo e sorridente. Un piacere trovare un posto così. Cibo: Antipasto Carciofata Primo Pici al ragù Secondo Fiorentina Chiusura con Crema di sorbetto a limone Niente da dire se non che è stato un pranzo magnifico e soddisfacente. La perfezione non esiste? Vero, ma qui esiste davvero!

24/03/2025: Historic Florentine restaurant not too touristy and still authentic, it was recommended to us by a Florentine. A bit noisy environment but excellent food and fast service. Excellent first courses as well as meat, their specialty. Good wine list. I recommend booking.

Il Paiolo

30/03/2025: Excellent meat, very nice place and friendly staff. The only flaw is too full, there is not the right distance between one table and another.... A real shame!
29/03/2025: We go to Paiolo for a birthday, we arrive at 1.15pm, we are seated at the table, after a while they come to take the order and we wait. The first starters arrive, the last three starters, meat platter, i.e. raw meat arrive by 3.15pm. After this long wait, the next dishes arrive in bursts, until we find three people with first and second courses on the table, all together. Let's move on to the dishes, good starters, equally good first courses and second courses as well, except for the steak which in our opinion is not of good quality... One piece of advice I would give is that if you write puree on a menu it must be a classic puree, if grilled potatoes are used and which consequently completely changes the flavour, it should be written on the menu. Conclusion, nice place, good food, service to be reviewed.
