Impeccable "il Monsignore" restaurant, a historic residence "Santa Cristina" completely restored and immersed in greenery and peace. We went for lunch. I didn't know this sophisticated, elegant and refined location. Three couples accompanied by a traditional menu on that day. But chef Alessandro will also amaze you with his sophisticated dishes, Gourmet because he is always looking for innovation. Friendly and professional wait staff.
Each course was a positive explosion of flavours.
I'm not going to list all the many courses but I can only tell you that lunch started with an excellent aubergine parmigiana accompanied by
freshly made bread. What can we say about the amazing paccheri with ragù, so appreciated that they even offered us an encore. We could only end the lunch with an excellent one
baba. An experience to absolutely repeat.
Passing through Venafro, we stopped for lunch at this restaurant, an event venue with a meticulously maintained outdoor space adorned with various trees, including weeping willows.
We were pleasantly welcomed by owner Gabriella, a young entrepreneur who, together with her husband, has been running this restaurant since 2018.
We began with a welcome glass of prosecco accompanied by original and delicious finger foods, including a curl of cherry tomato butter, an oil mousse, homemade olive bread served warm, and other delicacies. For our appetizer, Gabriella recommended the savory sfogliatella filled with cod mousse, on a bed of broccoli—a true delight! Next up was a cod fillet with cherry tomatoes and garlic on a bed of asparagus, and a portion of monkfish with crumble, on a bed of agretti. The food was delicious and beautifully plated, as well as beautifully presented by Gabriella. We had a good time, highly recommended!
