The place is very nice.
The dishes are good, although the prices are a bit high for the city.
The mixed grill, at €28.00, was, I must say, not a good value for the money.
The first courses were more generous.

By far, my favorite restaurant in Salerno. The waiters were kind and delightful, and the food was exquisite. At Gozzo, I had the most delicious fish-based first course I've ever tasted. Excellent value.
The atmosphere is peaceful and modern: perfect for enjoying the food. This restaurant is also one of the reasons I want to return to Salerno.

If there's one restaurant in Salerno worth visiting every year, it's Il Gozzo. We returned for the second time on vacation, and each time it confirms its reputation: the fish here is incredibly fresh, a sign of their professionalism and respect for quality.
The cuisine is a perfect balance between Campania tradition and creativity: from classic seafood dishes to surprising and beautifully presented options. The first courses are my favorites!!! The atmosphere is welcoming and intimate, ideal for both a romantic dinner and a relaxed evening with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive, ready to recommend the perfect wine pairing.
We gladly return every year, because Il Gozzo never disappoints: freshness, flavor, and attention to detail make this restaurant a must-visit in Salerno.

Excellent restaurant. I recommend it for both the good food and the very nice location.
The only flaw I would suggest is updating the menu prices, as they were lower than the final bill, and as a result, I ended up paying about €8 more.
