We arrived there by chance and were seated on a small veranda with tables nestled together like a Tetris. Nonetheless, the atmosphere was welcoming, which I think was normal—since it's Sunday, they try to accommodate as many customers as possible. The dishes were really good, though perhaps a little overpriced for a trattoria. Now for the main problem: the service. I'd say it was an exhausting experience, to say the least! The people milling around the dining room looked like they were on their first day on the job, and not even... total disorganization, never a smile or a friendly word, not even when faced with the most obvious mistake! I highly recommend reviewing a few points because, given the good food, this place could offer so much more.

We ate at this restaurant recommended by the B&B where my girlfriend and I were staying. What can I say, everything was truly delicious! The freshest, most traditional, and delicious products, from appetizers to desserts, from house wine to coffee, were so delicious that we asked the owner where we could buy some of the cheeses and cured meats we'd enjoyed. She was kind enough to direct us directly to the farm where they were produced, and where we decided to go the next morning! Everything was excellent value for money. Highly recommended to anyone who has the opportunity to visit the beautiful village of Montalbano Elicona and its stunning megaliths.

The place is small (I highly recommend booking as there aren't many seats) but very cute. The food is authentic, cooked in a traditional home-style manner. The owner is very kind and comes to make sure everything is fine (they fixed an issue with the order without batting an eyelid). The prices are definitely fair (compared to the other dishes, only the appetizer is more expensive, but the lard on the charcuterie board melts in your mouth). Gluten-free appetizers, first courses, and second courses are available, but not desserts. Recommended.

We had a good experience here. The local food was well prepared (the pork tomato sauce was a big highlight). We did not try the burgers but by the look of them they looked appealing. The staff was nice (maybe a bit too fast at removing plates) and the owner kind and pleasant to exchange some words with. A nice discovery while visiting Montalbano.

A very beautiful and welcoming rustic restaurant. We stopped by chance for lunch on the way and found a small but fantastic place. The food is excellent, very authentic and delicious home cooking, everything very fresh and plentiful. The waiters are truly kind. The waiter even brought a bowl of water for our dog. Plus, it's excellent value for money. We were truly satisfied and will be back. We recommend it to anyone looking for authentic cuisine and a welcoming place.

Small, cozy, and quaint place in Montalbano. It feels like eating a plate of pasta in Sicily 40-50 years ago, with the waitress suggesting the daily specials, many strictly fried or featuring pork from the nearby Nebrodi Park. For four generous plates of pasta and two 1.5L bottles of water, €50 (cover charge included). Recommended!

We were in the area with my wife and 8-year-old daughter for a walk and some peace and quiet. After wandering around a bit, we got hungry and started looking for a place to eat. We initially tried a grocery store, but unfortunately they were already out of bread... and that was around noon! We then tried a nearby café, but they didn't have anything to eat. We were about to give up, until fortunately we found "Il Girasole," and from there, our day changed. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with truly rare kindness and helpfulness. The lady who runs the place was extremely friendly and attentive, especially with our daughter. She asked her what she wanted and prepared a sandwich exactly how she wanted it, with great care and patience. My wife and I also ordered sandwiches, which were very fresh and delicious. We ate really well: everything was carefully prepared, with fresh ingredients, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. A simple yet genuine place where you feel welcome. Another plus: they allowed us to pay conveniently with our debit card, which isn't always possible in some places. In conclusion, a very positive experience! I highly recommend "Il Girasole" to anyone looking for a simple, tasty meal and a warm welcome. We'll definitely be back!
