We had booked a table for Valentine's Day. The meal was excellent, the atmosphere warm and very romantic, and the service impeccable (the waiter took our order in French!). If you'd like a wonderful experience and to taste authentic Italian cuisine, away from the overly touristy restaurants in the historic center, I recommend you try Il Gardino; you won't be disappointed!

Delicious and well-prepared food at a very reasonable price. Service is an additional €2.50 per person, which is average for most restaurants. Highly recommended if you're looking for something different from pasta and pizza. We had crispy octopus (spectacular!), gorgonzola ravioli with truffle, and tripe alla romana; everything was excellent and the portions were generous.

Everything was perfect at this restaurant. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and made with love. The service was very personalized; we had someone with a milk protein allergy, and they were able to suggest good dishes that he could enjoy. Highly recommended!!
It wasn't very crowded, which is a real luxury when you're looking for a restaurant while traveling!
