Incredible authentic Italian food, in a beautiful atmosphere. II Giardino Antica Osteria came recommended from a local and was amazing! All the food was fresh and flavorful and the service top notch.

Best Cacio e pepe poll we had in Rome! The Carbonara was fantastic! The atmosphere was great. The Romans out numbered the tourists. The service was very good and friendly. Highly recommend.

Excellent family dinner at Il Giardino. Nadir speaks French, and he made everything easier! It was so good (really, really good) that we'll be going back!

The food was absolutely delicious — definitely a hidden gem, tucked away but totally worth finding. The atmosphere was relaxing with such a lovely ambiance. We’re heading back to Rome next year with the whole family, and we’re really hoping they can accommodate a big group for her 75th birthday. Can’t reserve this early, but it’s already on our list!"

We had a caprese salad (14 euros) as an appetizer, and it was a really small dish. For our first course, we had a cacio e pepe, which was very good, I must say, and a gricia, which was also good, but there are better options. The portions are always a bit small given the price.

Recensione mista e francamente con l’amaro un po’ in bocca. Io e mio marito siamo andati a cena qui ieri, ci siamo trovati mediamente bene. Io ho mangiato bene, e dal menu posso certamente consigliare cacio e pepe, saltimbocca e patate al forno che erano molto buoni! Purtroppo mio marito ha avuto una cena completamente diversa dalla mia: carbonara un po’ insipida che ha dovuto aggiustare di sale e pepe (era ok.. niente di sorprendente), ha ordinato il filetto di chateaubriand e li ci siamo divertiti. È il taglio più pregiato di carne, e quello che ha ricevuto nel piatto era tutto tranne. Per chiarire, sembrano degli straccetti tagliati spessi serviti con salsa Bernese dal barattolo. 3 persone ci hanno spiegato il taglio (che torno a ripetere non sembrava per niente che), e il processo di cottura (forno, poi tagliato e passato alla griglia). Di questo taglio di carne ne abbiamo mangiato in passato, e abbiamo spiegato che non era certamente quello che mio marito si aspettava. Certi piatti molto buoni e alcuni meglio lasciare stare. Hanno onorato lo sconto offerto per prenotare tramite Fork, e offerto il limoncello a mio marito. I titolari sono carinissimi e il personale cortese a sufficienza, e hanno provato a “rimediare”… consiglio il posto, ma forse il pesce è più il loro punto forte.

Il posto, nonostante la vicinanza alla zona Barberini, non e' turistico. Ci sono tuttavia alcuni aspetti da considerare, il servizio e' ottimo, ma affidato in orario pranzo di fatto ad un cameriere (la situazione migliora in orario serale comunque), alcuni piatti non brillavano per gusto e preparazione (pancetta nei primi che la contenevano quasi carbonizzata). Il prezzo (non adeguato all qualità) e' comunque coerente con la zona.
