On a holiday, the place was packed, but the service was friendly and fast. The cuisine was excellent, especially the Petroniana, which I personally enjoyed, was excellent and truly traditional. The apple pie with warm custard was delicious. Excellent value for money, I'll definitely be returning.

We had lunch with 12 of us after my graduation. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming, the food was good, and the portions were just right. Thank you so much for everything :)

Trattoria Del Ghiottone is by far the best restaurant in Bologna. Unlike the tourist-oriented spots in the centro storico, this local gem serves truly authentic Bolognese fare — rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. Every dish feels homemade and full of character. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and make you feel right at home. A must-visit for anyone who wants to experience real Bologna cuisine. Highly recommended!

We found ourselves here by chance. It was already around 2 pm, even though they were about to close. They seated us with extreme kindness and professionalism.
The dishes were all spectacular, complemented by the homemade dessert, like all the other products on the menu.

October 18th: San Luca in Bologna. Welcoming, family-friendly, with attentive and thoughtful service. For a family lunch, we had delicious lasagna, shin of pork, and tagliatelle with ragù. The original desserts were delicious! We'll definitely be back.

I came here with my Peruvian boyfriend to make him try for the first time the Bologna cuisine.
The lasagna was great, the tortelli with mortadella filling as well. The cotoletta a bit too salty.
I think prices could be a bit lower, but the quality is good!
The restaurant is close to San Luca so you can then go for a walk there!

Excellent trattoria serving classic Italian dishes nicely focused on those of Bologna and the surrounding region. Packed for Sunday lunch with locals so glad we made a reservation. Lovely staff. Great food. Happy Sunday buzz. For Primi we shared a couple of classics: tagliatelle and lasagne. Secondi of the beef cheeks with divine mash and fillet steak with rocket and parmesan. Shared some grilled courgettes as a side and a great lemon sorbet for dolce. The caffè was predictably good as was the caraffe of house sangiovese.
