For years, whenever we're in the area, we've made a special trip to Campglia just for Chiara's ice cream. I honestly don't know of any better ice cream! One of its rare qualities—besides the unusual and perfectly paired flavor combinations—is its judicious use of sweetness. Nothing is masked; instead, it's sweetened just enough to highlight and allow the full spectrum of flavors to shine through.
In any larger city, this little ice cream shop would be an overcrowded and prohibitively expensive destination for food lovers.
We sincerely hope that Chiara's gem in Campiglia Marittima continues to thrive!

After trying Chiara's gelato, I can't eat any other gelato: it's the best gelato I've ever had, no question about it. This is real gelato, made from raw ingredients, no artificial additives, every recipe is carefully researched and calibrated. You can eat it by the kilo.

My job is flavorist, so I'm well trained in evaluating flavors. After a week of vacation in several places in the Tuscany and eating gelato every day, I can say, this is the best of the whole trip. It has natural and right flavors and textures. Ottimo gelato!
