Almost obligatory stop in the center of Viterbo. Delicious dishes and generous portions. Interesting and quite extensive wine list.
The staff were very kind and willing to let us have dinner even without a reservation. I don't give 5 stars only for a small problem with the temperature of the starter and a second course.
This was my second experience at this place. Satisfied

I have eaten at this restaurant many times. I would say all the times I have been to Viterbo as a Roman. Delicious dishes, top quality cuisine, excellent hospitality, perfect environment and location. And I see wonderful reviews and then I wonder; why aren't you on the list of 4 restaurants? For me you won!!!

It is with great pleasure that I review this excellent restaurant, in a splendid location. Relaxing, serene atmosphere, kind, professional and friendly staff. We had a great lunch. The dishes are genuine, quality with very fresh products and rich in flavour. Lovely place. An experience absolutely worth repeating and highly recommended.

The place is very very nice, especially outdoors because it is in a delightful square. I haven't visited inside so I couldn't say what it's like. The pastas were excellent, especially the homemade Capellini ones from Vitorchiano. Some things didn't work: like cooking the salmon really raw, ordering the wrong vegetables, uncooked broccoli with large leaves that should be removed. However, the staff is very kind.

Cui siamo fermati al Gargolo per pranzo durante la visita di Viterbo perché ci è piaciuta l'atmosfera, ma abbiamo poi scoperto che gli antipasti sono ottimi (abbiamo pranzato con quelli perché non sapevamo sceglierne solo due, quindi alla fine abbiamo fatto pranzo a base di antipasti!), ma anche i dolci ci hanno stupito. Personale giovane ed alla mano. Merita sicuramente una sosta!

Mi sono recato in questo locale per curiosità visto che sono di Viterbo e ci passo spesso . Devo dire che è eccezionale !!
