We discovered the restaurant by chance while driving past. It was actually siesta at 3:45 p.m. and, as everyone knows, everything was closed. Owner welcomed us despite siesta and even showed us his kitchen since we don't speak Italian and didn't understand what he offered us. Delicious! Very delicious! Excellent! We'll stay here for another week and will definitely stop by again 😋😁👋

Siamo andati in questo ristorante quasi per caso ed è stata una bellissima scoperta. Ristorante imperdibile per chi ama la buona cucina, ben presentata e a prezzi più che onesti. L’accoglienza cordiale del titolare tutto fare , come fossimo vecchi amici, è un valore aggiunto. È uno di quei posti in cui si torna sicuramente più che volentieri.

We went to this restaurant on Saturday evening for dinner, everything was perfect starting from the starters, I have never seen such an assortment of courses. All good, like the first course spaghetti with clams, each dish was at least 300 grams of spaghetti and full of clams, like the second course a plentiful and very fresh mixed fry all perfect and the bill for what we ate was low what more do you want? We will definitely be back. P.S. the owner does everything. At first glance he seems like a gruff person but it's just his character, in reality he is one of the most humble and honest people you can find in this sector.

Recommended by several local people, luckily we had the B&B opposite, you don't just go here for lunch/dinner, you go here to admire a man of almost 80 years old managing to run a typical restaurant alone (with a helper) that offers very fresh dishes (depending on market availability) prepared in a genuine, a bit like taking a dive into the past and going to eat with your grandparents. Mr Giovanni is certainly a special person so the negative reviews may make sense but I advise you: 1. to try to book and 2. go first with your heart and then with your appetite. For us it was an exciting evening as well as having eaten very well and having found a phenomenal quality/quantity/price ratio. I hope to return as soon as possible.

The manager is one of a kind, very reserved, reliable and you must necessarily follow him and support him. Endless appetizer that ranges from the mountains to the sea. Abundant first courses and tasty, well-cooked second courses. It is recommended to all those who want to eat well and not pay a lot.

Beautiful view while eating dinner! Nice place to relax while enjoying your food. Foods are very delicious, authentic Italian cuisines cooked by one of the locals!

Buona esperienza Parcheggio su strada Proprietario o cameriere principale diciamo caratteristico, persona anziana di poche parole ma genuino e pratico Menu non è mai arrivato, è lui che declama cosa c è in funzione del pescato e della disponibilità in cucina (cosa buona e giusta) Unico elemento di difficoltà è che non sai quanto paghi all inizio ma vedendo la situazione avevo intuito che il conto non sarebbe stato una fregatura Partiamo con gli antipasti come da.consiglio, abbondanti, una decina di portate, freschi con particolare riferimento a Alici e gamberi davvero pescati poche ore prima Continuiamo con i primi devo dire un po' deludenti, mi aspettavo una maggiore maestria ma va bene così... consiglio antipasti e secondi di pesce, la pasta non è il massimo Conto 35 euro a persona e siamo usciti pienissimi...apprezzato il non mettere digestivo e vino in conto In definitiva buona scoperta, ristorante non turistico (orami rarità a Sorrento e dintorni) genuino e autentico, buone portate, consiglio e ci ritornerò

16/12/2023: Bella serata con amici sorseggiando un ottimo primitivo gioia del colle che ha accompagnato piatti pregiati di qualita'. Il servizio gestito da Angelo e' risultato efficace, perche ' sempre presente all'occorrenza senza mai essere invadente. Piccolo sconto sul conto finale, apprezzato. Ritorno a casa soddisfatti e con gentile, elegante e gustoso mini panettone vome cadeaux di Natale.
12/09/2023: Il ristorante è molto bello , arredato con tanto gusto , poltrone comode , servizio gentile e professionale, qualità del food notevole , prezzi un po’ altini, ma è il sovrapprezzo da pagare quando si cena in un locale così curato in pieno centro della città. Unica dolente a parer mio, la proposta dei vini, troppo scontata e commerciale.

Ristorante Il Cantuccio

31/08/2024: A place, for me, delightful, at times uncontaminated by the usual scum that arrives on the coast. You may like it, but you may also not like it because in the end, apart from the sea and a few good restaurants, it offers nothing else. To think that many years ago there was only a diving center and just a few restaurants... Today, however, everything has changed! From "one basin" they managed to create many hotels, small bathing establishments, restaurant spaces, two of which were starred: "La Taverna del Capitano" 🌟 and the "Quattro Passi" which boasts 🌟 🌟 🌟 since November last year . We often go to restaurants, even starred ones, partly due to my deep innate curiosity, partly to train the so-called. “palate” and also to experience new emotions that only good food done properly can give you. Those who know me well, among other things, know that I always prefer the Amalfi coast to the Sorrento Peninsula, for a whole series of various reasons: the most important is the heart, then the rest that remains inside me. Yesterday we went to "Il Cantuccio" in Nerano and I must say that we ate well. High prices, but as I always say when you eat well I'm always happy to spend them. - A white wine, Falanghina, strictly still. - The inevitable Spaghetti alla Nerano, excellent! 😍 - A delicate and tasty clam souté. - FRESH fried calamari and you could feel all the flavour. (*I specify "fresh" because it also said frozen) - Chocolate profiterols, delicious and not cloying. Tiramisu: very good. A pleasant and tasty end-of-summer dinner was all there was to it!
28/08/2024: The place itself is nice. A beautiful location and view. Service was also okay. We were having dinner with family. There was a table celebrating something. And we listened to the music super loud for 2 songs and waiter climbed onto a chair or table to make the party. I found it exaggerated, but ok. Not really food. I have comparisons with other nearby places. I have always eaten well. But here it is really low level. Maybe I got the wrong dishes. I can't explain. Marinated anchovies with salmon we sent back. Worse than at Lidl. Fried it might have been good, but it tasted a lot like yeast. Seafood risotto without a shell or anything. I doubt it was fresh stuff. Definitely don't recommend
