The food is excellent, from the local appetizers to the seafood dishes. The seafood appetizer is especially delicious, generous portions.

We stumbled upon it today while looking for a place to savor the authentic local food that was always on our table when we were still here in Calabria, and it was a pleasant discovery: delicious, plentiful, and perfectly cooked local dishes, a very kind owner, impeccable service, and more than fair prices. If you want to eat traditional home-cooked food in a rustic setting overlooking a stretch of the Calabrian coast, where time slows down, almost denying the frenetic pace of daily life, this is the perfect place! September 11, 2025: We returned yesterday after two years, and I want to reiterate the excellent food, hospitality, and kindness. Excellent, home-cooked food, just what we were looking for this week in the Tropea area, and we finally discovered we had it just a five-minute walk from our accommodation. The portions are generous and flavorful, the true flavors of tradition without the frills. We ordered two appetizers, one local and one prosciutto and parmesan, but one would have been enough to share. Then there were tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and wild boar ragù, and fileja with goat ragù, both excellent. Fair prices: everything mentioned above plus a quart of red wine and a liter of water €50.

We had lunch with the family in early July. We had delicious fileja and equally delicious grilled meat. The only downside was that the waiter promised to bring an empty plate so we could share the dishes with my young son, but he never did, so three of us had to eat two plates. The owner was super friendly and hospitable...they always offer coffee or liqueurs at the end of the meal. Overall, a positive experience. The food was homemade, good, and reasonably priced.

Con mia moglie abbiamo festeggiato il battesimo di nostra nipote. Il locale fa anche da bar e tabaccheria. Dispone di diversi tavoli. Abbiamo mangiato molto sia i primi che i secondi, e tutto in abbondanza. Ottima la carne servita sulla pietra lavica. Consiglio a tutti di pranzare o cenare in questo locale. Nel locale è possibile mangiare anche prodotti tipici del Monte Poro. È possibile parcheggiare nelle immediate vicinanze. Personale di sala molto gentile. Il locale funziona anche da pizzeria. Consiglio a tutti di visitare questo locale per la qualità e quantità!

Da sempre una garanzia. Non e' infatti la prima volta che mi reco al Ducale. Anche in questa occasione sono rimasto soddisfatto. Servizio cordiale ed efficiente. Ottimo primo piatto di fileja con n'duja , agnello gradevolissimo e ben cotto alla brace . Proprietario sempre in trincea ed attivo .
