Been here before, more than once last year, same treatment.
The setting isn't the most modern, the furnishings are dated, better lighting would make the atmosphere more welcoming, but the quality of the food, its simplicity, the consistent offerings, and the limited number of dishes—all of which is seen as a plus, not a minus—the reasonable price, no surprises, a popular cover charge, and reasonably priced dishes make it a restaurant where you can dine and return with pleasure, without risk to your stomach or your wallet, with the certainty of eating well. This is further confirmed by the consistently crowded restaurant.
The service is adequate; a few forgivable, but acceptable, flaws don't detract from the pleasure of returning. See you soon.

I realize this review isn't very recent, but in 1986, Dollar slaps were pretty good. I wonder if they still exist.

Everything we ate was delicious, from the pizzas to the fish dishes; excellent value for money. The service was prompt and friendly. Special mention for the attention given to our child who had fallen and hurt himself: without knowing we'd booked with them, they even gave us hydrogen peroxide to disinfect him.

A unique restaurant, full of photos of famous guests. The menu is extensive and plentiful. Excellent value, and the staff is kind and friendly.

Typical and authentic place, full of history and charm, you eat well and spend the right amount, not like those restaurants in San Felice where a spaghetti with clams doesn't cost less than €25!

Siamo clienti da tempo de "Il Dollaro" oggi però ogni aspettativa è stata superata!!!
Abbiamo ordinato un fuori menù, esattamente una zuppa di pesce con molluschi, granchi, cozze, vongole, gamberi, scampi e astice tanto sugo e tante bruschette!
Un piatto da 10 e lode, gustoso e sfizioso allo stesso tempo.
Un’esperienza da ripetere ….e da consigliare.
Ps: per poterla gustare è necessario contattare il “Dollaro” almeno due giorni prima, essendo un fuori menù fatto con prodotti freschi il gestore deve organizzarsi per il loro acquisto….
