I don't usually leave reviews, but in this case I absolutely must. A truly unique place. The atmosphere is wonderful and familiar. The food? Wonderful, nothing more. A huge thank you to Francesca and Mr. Vincenzo. If we ever return to this beautiful village, we'll definitely see you again. Visiting Friends Stepping into "Il Corso" isn't just entering an outwardly unassuming restaurant, easily overlooked on a dark autumn evening tucked away on a small street. Stepping into "Il Corso" is like entering the life of a Tuscan family. At a rather uncomfortable table in a busy area, an elderly woman sits with her (we assume) granddaughter. They aren't eating or drinking anything. After a while, we wonder if this "cat's table" might be reserved for needy guests, fed by the owners out of kindness. When the senior citizen is suddenly presented with a raw head of white cabbage on a chopping board, which she begins to chop into small pieces, we begin to suspect something. These aren't guests being served for free. It's a private table where the head of the family is sitting with relatives! Everything here is very relaxed and friendly – ​​we feel like we're visiting friends. The dishes we ordered – my vegetarian seafood and my partner's meaty seafood – are a delicious ode to the region. Lovingly arranged and freshly prepared, they delight our taste buds. The delicious house wine is served in handmade jugs, just like Grandma used to make. "Acqua cotta," a soup we ordered after the main course—out of sheer curiosity (what exactly is "boiled water"???)—despite the usual order, was simply divine: wonderfully tomatoey, aromatic, and rich. We were actually quite full afterward, but didn't want to miss out on dessert. The cake and tiramisu provided the perfect ending to our evening at "Il Corso." We had originally planned to visit a completely different restaurant in Roccatederighi, which, contrary to the information on their website, was unfortunately closed for the second time. So, quite by chance, we ended up at "Il Corso," which we will definitely return to next time we're in the Maremma. Before we left, an older chef came out of the kitchen, took off his apron at the small table, and sat down. Family dinner time. Thank you, dear team, for letting us be a part of it.

A gem in Roccatederighi, discovered by chance during our visit to the area. The atmosphere is welcoming, like being at home, with a genuine, simple atmosphere that's hard to find these days. Dishes are prepared with the skill and love that only true home cooking can provide; freshly made tortelli, superb roast rabbit stuffed with vegetables, and finally, dessert like only grandma knows how. I'm not exaggerating; try it and believe it. The owners are incredibly kind and hospitable; for that alone, it's worth a stop. A sincere thank you for the excellent experience.
