Il Colombaio di Mariva Benucci In Casole d'elsa

Wonderful place to stay. Our 2nd year here, and we have booked for next year also. Amazing views, wonderful pool area. The service provided by Max, Neila and Luciano is fantastic. Very central, so easy to drive to other places, Volterra, Sienna, San Gimingnano, etc. Casole is a short walk away for bars and other places to eat. Il Colombaio, the restaurant pizzeria is about 5m away from the front of Tenuta Colombaio. Different businesses, but very very handy, good food. Make sure you book or you may not get a table. Can't wait to get back!

We will definitely return to a place so vibrant in all its aspects. The IL COLOMBAIO room on two levels (living room, bedroom and bathroom in the attic), truly immense and functional. The abundant breakfast served by a good and kind collaborator. The gardens and swimming pool are cared for in detail. Optimal. Food, friendly and efficient dining room staff, very nice location, I recommend the internal room with a view of the valley, the swimming pool is also beautiful and functional

We have just returned from the most wonderful week at this stunning property. Where to start with a review… The location is excellent and provides a great base for exploring the local area and accessing Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. The surrounding scenery is stunning with great views from our apartment and the pool area. The sunsets were spectacular. The accommodation is to a high standard and although there isn’t an oven, my partner raved about the BBQ area and enjoyed standing there with a glass of wine and a super view of Casole d’Elsa. If you don’t want to cook or venture out, the adjoining restaurant is excellent. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome given the temperature. Quiet and efficient resulting in a great nights sleep despite the heat. The whole complex is spotless and the pool area (with a pool large enough to actually swim in!) was well equipped with good quality sun loungers, outdoor furniture and plenty of shade. We were made to feel extremely welcome, the owners recommended local restaurants we would never have found and were friendly but not intrusive. A truly magical place.

Beautiful setting with stunning views worthy of a painting. Such lovey place to unwind from hustle and bustle of city life. Great location for visit to Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni... and just a short walk from lovely town of Castle d'Elsa. Thank you Max and Nelia for making us feel so very welcome and sharing a piece of your paradise with us!

I absolutely recommend this stunning property. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the cottages are quaint with breathtaking views and the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. I have celiac and they made an entire gluten free breakfast selection for me, on top of the lovely fresh fruits, farm fresh eggs and other normal breakfast selections. The pool is beautiful as well with views of the Tuscan hills. Additionally, I love that the old medieval town of Casole D’Elsa is just a 10 min. Walk from the room. This location is absolutely perfect. We did quick morning trips to nearby towns as well. Over all 10/10 would absolutely recommend.
