This is truly a gem of a restaurant. The owner and his wife are very friendly and will not hesitate to explain the dishes on the menu and recommend some glorious wines with their food. The food is all locally sourced. The lard and the pork belly marinated with acacia honey and Arneis were home made. The pork meat came from a pig that the owner personally chose for slaughter. That's my kind of restaurant. The wines were also local and very good. The owner let me try some different wines and took great care in explaining them to me.
We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace in the bustling city of Asti, but it is also nice sitting inside, if the weather is not that good.
