I had the pleasure of having lunch several times at the Il Castagno da Nichi restaurant and I was always impressed by the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is located in a picturesque location, immersed in the Tuscan scrub. The interior is rustic and welcoming, with exposed beams and wooden furnishings.
The menu offers a vast selection of typical Tuscan dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Every time I set foot at Castagno da Nichi it's like coming home. The familiar and welcoming atmosphere, combined with the quality of the food, always excites me.

Rustic Trattoria.
Personally, I love eating in old trattorias, taverns and farmhouses where you can still find regional dishes cooked according to Italian tradition. I ate well for the price and will definitely return.

Definitely a unique experience that will stay in your mind for a long time if not forever.
The food, the internal and external atmosphere, especially if you get there in the dark on a late summer evening, seems like another world. Everything we ate thrilled us, it's a shame we couldn't try more of the large and inviting menu due to the great distance that separates us but I will certainly want to go back every time I come to the area.
With a fast, kind and accurate service, 2 of us ate the amberjack with mushroom sauce, baked larded partridge, Chianina meatballs, salad and chips, caramelized figs in oil and grandfather's cake, spending the right amount in relation to the goodness and authenticity offer.

Abundant DISHES. Very kind staff and fast service. Good value for money. If you are in the area it is worth having lunch or dinner at this restaurant.

Nothing made the visit unforgettable. But we really liked the rustic, quiet atmosphere in the mountains. Something different from the hustle and bustle in Bolgheri. And the prices are also really moderate for this region. Especially since the pizza was extremely tasty, as was the pasta. We'd love to come back.

Tutto perfetto dal servizio al locale , meravigliosa la carne e visto il prezzo da ritornare in un periodo un po più fresco ma visto il luogo ...il poco vento del giorno rinfrescava e invitava a mangiare ... ottimo anche il vino della casa
