A small restaurant in the center of Canale, delicious food, spectacular mussel and clam sauté, as is the spaghetti with clams... Giacomo, the owner and chef, is a charming and cheerful character... clean and tidy. We'll definitely be back. La Messinese 🥰

The food is good, especially the fish, at this little restaurant in the Carraiola district of Canale Monterano. Giacomo, the owner, is truly a character. A jack-of-all-trades, with a thousand stories to tell. And this is perhaps the place's only drawback. Long waits and waits, perhaps for dessert and/or coffee, are inevitable. A special mention goes to the truly excellent mussel sauté.

The BEST most delicious food all made by the kindest sweetest man: Giacomo. It is our favorite restaurant ever!! Everything is made to perfection and tastes amazing every time. We keep going back for the great meals, and also for the authentic experience. It is a MUST.

A wonderful little traditional restaurant with a very friendly owner. Everything we ate there was perfectly cooked and truly excellent. We highly recommend the sautéed mussels and clams (with a wonderful jus), the grilled sea bass (cooked to perfection), and the fettuccine with wild mushrooms (a real taste of porcini mushrooms).

Here you can experience simplicity, lived by tasting dishes cooked to perfection, keeping faith with the genuineness of true flavors. I have been to this place and I came away satisfied. Recommended.

05/02/2025: We celebrated my wife's birthday here. We found the food excellent, the drinks very good, and the music fantastic. Special thanks to Marco, who was immediately kind and helpful. The chef was also very friendly and knowledgeable. He was a great help in choosing the menu. We will definitely be back for an evening with friends, and maybe even for our next birthday.
02/02/2025: I celebrated my birthday here for the first time. The place was beautiful, the staff were friendly and always helpful, the food and drinks were good, and the non-alcoholic cocktails were fantastic. The DJ was excellent, playing 90s music throughout the evening, which was a good match for the theme. I recommend it for a fun, different evening out. We'll definitely be back. ☺️
