We venture into the center of Carovigno during a festive week, unfortunately surrounded by incredible cacophony. Fortunately, we dine at Caminetto, which offers simple, homemade, yet tasty dishes. The atmosphere is simple yet quiet, with good service. I was able to relax and enjoy the evening away from the chaos. I will definitely be back.

Osteria Al Caminetto is located at Via Regina Margherita 11, in the heart of Carovigno's historic center, just steps from the Dentice di Frasso castle—a convenient and central location. The restaurant is cozy, intimate, homey, and slightly rustic—perfect for those who appreciate authenticity, but inevitably means limited seating. The cuisine is definitely the heart of the place: homemade, generous dishes, faithful to Apulian tradition: orecchiette with turnip tops, tagliolini with scampi, a house antipasto with over 15 courses, a large fried fish platter, snails, mixed roast meats, and much more. Prices are more than fair, generally between €20 and €30 per person, with appetizers around €14 and seafood/meat main courses between €9 and €11. Numerous reviews praise the excellent value for money: "Sincere cuisine, with local products cooked divinely according to tradition." But we all know: where the food is this good, the wait—if well managed—is worth every second!

Osteria Al Caminetto...where tradition and excellent food reign supreme! It's always a hit, and we can only recommend it. Excellent service for both lunch and dinner.

We went there two days in a row, and because it was so good the first time, we went back the next day. Truly authentic, delicious Italian cuisine. Highly recommended!

Este lugar era increíble! El lugar es acogedor y todo el personal es profesional, amable y servicial. Toda la comida que nos sirvieron era deliciosa, hasta el punto de que me hizo amar Apulia aún más. Su paladar estará 100% satisfecho. Saborearás la frescura y el carácter "orgánico" de los ingredientes. Las porciones seguramente cumplirán con su satisfacción, y para destacar el desbordante "antipasti della casa" (aperitivo de la casa) - una necesidad de pedir para que pueda probar un poco de cada orgullo gastronómico de Apulia. Oh, la calidad de la comida supera el precio. (se paga solo 47 euros por todo esto) Yo vendría a este lugar una y otra vez si soy un residente de Apulia, pero sin duda vendría a comer aquí cada vez que visitamos Apulia.

In questo posto la tradizione sa di casa. Attività a condizione familiare nella quale si possono gustare i sapori tipici della tradizione pugliese in un ambiente sereno e curato. Il Sog. Giovanni è il comandante di una nave che sa dove andare, grazie all'aiuto della sua famiglia. Prezzi assolutamente al di sotto delle aspettative. Da provare.
