An unforgettable experience at the "Il Bocconcino" restaurant! "Il Bocconcino" is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants I have ever tried. From the moment you enter you can feel a welcoming atmosphere with attention to the smallest details. The staff is extremely professional, friendly and attentive, ready to satisfy every need with a smile. The starters are simply unbeatable: each course is an explosion of flavours, prepared with the freshest ingredients and impeccably presented. Personally, I particularly appreciated the homemade gnocchi, a real delight for the palate. A detail that struck us was the kindness of the owner, an exquisite and helpful person, who made sure that everything was perfect. It was so pleasant talking to him that we even asked him to sit at our table for a few minutes. A gesture that made the evening even more special, making us feel at home. I recommend "Il Bocconcino" to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a high quality meal in a pleasant and relaxing environment. I can't wait to go back!

Non-standard. A place that could be intimidating, due to the fact that it is located adjacent to the Colosseum. The first thing I thought before entering was: "it will be a place for tourists, with low quality food and high prices". INSTEAD Instead, as a "native" I was really able to enjoy true ancient Roman cuisine, with a touch of class and originality that doesn't hurt. Delicious and abundant appetizers, homemade gnocchi (Thursday gnocchi, as per tradition) with veal sauce and mushrooms that reminded me of the ones my grandmother used to make. And then tart with ricotta and sour cherries, trifle, Marsala zabaglione with cat tongues...a real pleasure! With truly accessible prices. I recommend Romans and tourists to come and try it! Out of the ordinary. A place that might seem intimidating at first, simply because it's located right next to the Colosseum. My initial thought before stepping inside was: “This must be a tourist trap, with low-quality food and high prices.” BUT As a local, I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy authentic ancient Roman cuisine, elevated with a touch of class and originality that made it truly special. Delicious and generous appetizers, homemade gnocchi (it was Thursday, after all – gnocchi Thursday, as tradition has it) with a veal and mushroom sauce that instantly brought back memories of my grandmother's cooking. And then, desserts: ricotta and sour cherry tart, trifle, Marsala zabaglione with cat's tongue biscuits… an absolute delight! All of this at truly reasonable prices. I highly recommend this spot to both locals and tourists – come and give it a try!

Quiet restaurant very close to one of the most iconic monuments in the world (Colosseum) where you can enjoy the traditional flavors of Roman cuisine. The education, professionalism and friendliness of the dining room staff, the delicacy of the dishes offered and the friendliness of the owner are striking... if you happen to be in Rome it is a place absolutely not to be missed... My opinion is shared with my fellow diners ... considering their generosity in providing tips ..... I can't wait to return to enjoy the homemade gnocchi and zabaglione....super

Found through Google we tried to have dinner in this delightful little place, a little away from the chaos of the Colosseum. As soon as you enter you see the slightly retro place, very welcoming and cute. The staff very kind and helpful. The dishes are excellent, home-made, tasty. The price is average

En visite à Rome, nous avons trouvé ce restaurant grâce à Tripadvisor. Nous y sommes allés sans réservation et le restaurant était complet mais les serveurs ont fait le nécessaire pour nous trouver une table, déjà c’est un bon point. Prise de commande rapide, service assez rapide et les plats étaient bons. Bonnes pâtes et bon burger.
